Microsoft FMM-00001 Type Cover for Surface Pro - Black

The seller was very prompt in sending the keyboard. The seller also contacted me very quickly to confirm that the keyboard is for an older Surface Pro. Mine was a 6-pin keyboard and I think the newer ones are 8-pin. They also alerted me that it was not brand new; used, but tested to work. I really appreciate that they reached out to confirm all of this before mailing. I received it very quickly and it is working very well with my Surface Pro. Happy with the purchase.

If you've used the Surface Pro, you know the SP keyboard is fantastic. This one is identical to the one I purchased in a bundle with my new SP7+. I bought this one for my wife's SP6. She was using a keyboard from a SP3, which was 9 years old and the original keyboard (the first generation of the pro keyboards) was getting ratty and I decided to buy her one of the updated models. While the ratty original one still worked fine, she LOVES the upgraded design of the slightly separated keys and overall better build quality.

After having my Type cover that came with my Surface Pro 5 for over 3 years it just stopped working. Nothing I tried got it to work and finally realized that it was no longer any good. I had gone to Best Buys to pick another one and even asked one of the employees if this is the correct one for my Surface (had my receipt) and he said yes. Went home and it was the wrong one. It had 8 prongs instead of 6 like my Surface. Blessing in disguise because this lead me to search for one on Amazon and I found this one and saw the great reviews. I've had it for several days and right when I attached it worked immediately. No problems. Also it was $40 less plus I like the black versus the gray that I had. A win, win. Works great and another happy customer!!

Backstory: lost my cursor, went through the recommended steps to find it, didn't find it, and finally, the final professional tip was to "replace your keyboard". Went to M store and yikes! Left it that fast. Saw the review here about "6" and I thought "that's me!" (Thank you to that reviewer). Fantastic replacement. Excellent price. So wonderful to have a keyboard back again. I just work faster with a keyboard. Tapping the screen for my daily work slows me down. Don't have to have bluetooth on, no recharging or batteries needed. Just like the one that I originally got with my Surface. Thank you Amazon!

It connects easily and quickly to the docking on my ipad pro. The keys are easy to use when typing. However, the touchpad will stop working frequently and I have to disconnect the keyboard and reconnect to get it back.

Howdy i've had 2 of these before this one. I bought two when i first got the device just encase i lost one or broke one. One broke after a year because i left it under something heavy and the mouse back wouldn't bounce back after clicks. The 2nd one just broke after 5 years of use because I accidently let it rub against the wall while carrying the device improperly. I was upset and it was my fault both times.I was a little afraid to buy this as i saw reveiws that said they got old ones or damaged ones. The one i got was in original packaging and never before opened. It smells brand new as well. I felt all the keys as the felt more responsive than my old one, and the track pad seems to be working just fine. No hidden dirt of smears i can see. The only scuffing was on the packaging i feel this has been on a shelf some where for a year or something. I'll update this if anything comes up.

I put a lot of hours in with this keyboard and it's fantastic. The feel of the key strokes feels great and flows very well for fast typing. Super soft sound from the key strokes as well that will be appreciated by anyone in the vicinity trying to concentrate or sleep. Securly fastens as well and never just "pops out" - the bond is as strong as it should be. I would purchase again, without a doubt.

So far so good! Tested all of the keys and touchpad - working well (only had it a couple of days, but I am on it now). The condition of the keyboard was actually great and I would trust the seller! This factory, but warehouse deal product is much better than the non factory blue tooth replacement from overseas. The bluetooth overseas product had a lot of latency because of the bluetooth. But what was worse, I think the sensors in the non factory product would actually actuate sensors that made your cursors skip to other places in documents.The keyboard in this review is awesome!!!!! Consider this one before going with a non-factory key board!Cheers!!!!!
