No matter how much tape I use, it will not stop leaking. I had to go to the hardware store multiple times to finagle fittings to make it work with our hose. It's all cheap plastic, so that it won't hold up very long. Don't waste your money and cause yourself an unnecessary headache. Returning it would be even more of a headache and another waste of money.

This is a simple, sturdy, mechanical self filling dog bowl that actually works. Several self-filling dog dishes on this site have cheapo USB controls and try to trigger refilling electronically. No cords here. Just plug in the hose and it works. (Note - you have to buy a hose with 2 female ends - sold separately)

This item arrived with out faucet/short hose hook ups as expected? Not able to hook up.

I have to say as a man we always throw out the instructions, it’s what we do. As simple as it looks to set up I definitely didn’t set it up correctly. After reading the instructions I was able to set it up properly and works like a charm. Only downside is that dirt builds up in the bowl and have to manually clean it out. This bowl is a game changer for sure.

It’s all very light plastic and the design is poorly thought through. They leave you a male end to connect to which means you will be required to buy a hose and an adapter if you plan on connecting this to your standard exterior faucet.
