Exceptional wax worth the money
Clean! I even waxed the car at night in the dark looking like a tweaker. It’s made a huge difference to the surface of my ‘97 4Runner, especially on the roof where the clear coat is peeling and faded. This stuff even smells good. Easy application and buffing. A little goes a long way. After a long road trip, a night of rain and a drive thru the car wash, it still looks as good as new.

Eval of Collinite 845 Insulator wax.
Good day, Absolutely love this product (845), I have straight away multiple times trying other products and always come back to it. It is very easy to put on very easy to rub in love the wet look and depth (a properly prepared paint surface really adds to the look) it lasts depending on number of washes and type of wash products used, anywhere up to three plus months with good shine, after that begins to lose some of that hydrophobic protection, but still looks good. Again, great product, even with all of the different types of coating available (and I have tried a ton of them) include ceramics, which are very expensive require much more prep work, they do look beautiful, but still need maintenance after you put them on. I still look add things like how easy it goes on, the cost, and how much I enjoy the way it looks when evaluating what I put on my vehicle. Like I’ve said I’ve tried just about everything out there and I keep coming back to the 845. Will continue to use it and it always gets me compliments on how great the finish looks!! Hope this helps use it. You won’t be disappointed. Maurice

Believe the reviews, it's THAT good!
I used to run an auto detail business, and used many different brands of waxes, sealants, polishes, Turtle Waxes, and this is the best I've ever used. Period. Full stop. I was very disappointed with my NuFinish Ceramic purchase, as it's very difficult to apply, so I bought this. This is hands down the easiest, quickest, no streak, product ever. Use a very small amount, let dry thirty seconds, wipe off, and you're done. But the shine!! I don't know what's in this stuff, but it's the deepest, wettest, looking shine I've ever found. And on Chrome, good grief! It make metal trim look 3D, better than new. It's not a fancy bottle, not a brand name, but it performs absolutely flawlessly. Buy it! You'll be glad you did.

This wax does wonders!
While it might not be the most expensive (nor the cheapest) wax money can buy, it possesses a HUGE bang for the buck. At room temperature, it is kind of like a soft paste - not a liquid, not quite a paste. It obviously changes consistency with temperature. Making sure it is shaken up well is important, as there are more than one chemical at work here. In order to do this, you need to run the bottle under warm/hot water for a little while, to turn the paste into a liquid, and then shake it to get that smooth, thick, liquid consistency we're looking for. Once you get to that point, use it sparingly - I recommend dedicating this wax to a single applicator. I prefer the microfiber applicators from Chemical Guys over the foam applicators you can purchase. This stuff lasts a long time, so if it can lasts months on your car in the elements in a micro thin film, think about how long it's going to last on your applicator pad! It has a pleasant chemical waxxy-like smell. No frills here, it smells exactly like what it is. Hardcore wax. Whatever it is you're waxing, be sure to use a clay bar to ensure a proper, smooth, decontaminated surface. This stuff wipes on super, super smooth, almost like spreading vaseline. It's wonderful to work with, and spreads easily. This means that less is more - I figure since I did a full size car, including wheels, and glass, and yet the bottle looks as if it hasn't even been opened yet, this stuff will last at least 50 full size rigs before you need to worry about purchasing more. And that, is something I like! The nice thing about this is that it isn't one of these off-the-shelf products you can find at <insert superstore/auto parts store here>. If they did, it'd all fly off the shelves and it would be MONTHS before people came back for more. It lasts a long time on the vehicle, so long as the paint is in good shape before you apply it. The cleaner, smoother the paint - the better, longer lasting the shine will be. People rave about this everywhere you go, automotive wise. It's especially popular in fall and winter, because it compliments the rainy season well. It beads water like there's no tomorrow just by itself. And since it isn't one of those products that last about a week until the next wash, it'll keep protecting your paint through the entire season. Spring time will be pretty much pure awesomesauce when you go to give your car that detail you look forward to, and your time is cut in half during the wash process because it'll probably still be working great. Do yourself a favor and learn how to properly wax your car. If you're a nut that just loads the wax on until your car looks like the lady friend coming out of the day spa waring a mud mask? You need a little help. Wax should go on super thin. Using more product than is necessary is simply a waste of product. You should only see a thin, light haze once the product starts to dry. Use little to no pressure when applying, just enough to spread it out over the paint. Work in circles to ensure a good, even coat. Give it 15-20 minutes for the product to 'soak in' and bond with the paint, and dry - it's easier to remove this way, and yields the best result. Some people like to call it quits after you remove the wax, but to really give your paint that 'pop' most people look for (especially pearls & metallic paints), use either a quick detail spray such as Chemical Guys P40 or V07 as a follow up after removing your wax. This not only gives a bit more shine, it also adds another layer of protection that will lengthen the life span of your finish. I would recommend Collinite to anybody looking for a durable, high endurance wax that is easy to apply and practically fool-proof. It is maybe a 7/10 in the 'shine' department, so if you're looking for a top of the line shine, expect to pay top of the line money. But by all means put it over the 845 so when the super spendy stuff wears off, you still have the long lasting protection from Collinite. 5 out of 5 stars because it's awesome, and everybody loves it - especially myself, since I'm the one that actually uses it. No instruction manual or Master's degree required. Enjoy!

Excellent Wax
If you are looking for a shiny glossy wax job I would recommend trying this product. It has the shine of the better carnauba waxes and durability of a sealant. It is easy to apply and I had no problem buffing it off by hand. It does not contain any cleaners so you will need to clay bar and/or pre-clean before application. A little goes a long way and this leads me to my only complaint. You only want a small dab at a time on your applicator. At room temperature the product is fairly thick - more like a jell than a liquid. The bottle they sent me had a screw-on cap and it was hard to pour / squeeze a small amount on the applicator. I was able to "borrow" a flip top cap from an old bottle that made it easier to squirt small amounts.

Good stuff!
Update: It's been about 3 months since I applied 845. The beading has dimnished a bit, going from small tight beads to larger globs, but it still repels rain and makes for easy cleanup of dirt/grime. I think it would last an entire season with no problem. But after recently trying 915, I will only be using 845 as a winter prep wax. In my opinion, 915 is easier to use and has a much better finish, but I doubt it would hold up as well through harsh winters. I think 845 is a durable wax with a slight learning curve; it can become an oily hologram-y mess if applied too heavily, which I found out the hard way after touching up an area. Bottom line is this: 845 for durability that lasts as long as ULW (or longer), 915 for maximum gloss and depth, possibly with limited protection due to much higher carnauba content. More frequent applications won't be a bad thing, 915 smells better and is easy to work with! This is just my take though, your experiences may vary. ************ After using Meguiar's ultimate liquid wax for a while, I had to see what all the hype was about with this wax. I transferred the contents into a clear condiment bottle first. It makes using this runny liquid MUCH easier! Smells kinda like Raid spray, not as pleasant as ULW. I washed and clayed the entire car, then applied the wax by hand with a microfiber applicator pad. It spreads easily, and looks pretty greasy upon application. On a cool surface, it hazes in about 10 minutes. It takes just a tiny bit of elbow grease to remove, but the results are worth it; slick surfaces and no stained black trim! It looks just as good as ULW on a white car, but others may get different results with darker colors. Overall I think it's a good wax that should hold up through the spring and maybe through the summer. I'll update my review about longevity to see if it lasts as long as ULW.

Still protecting after a month...
I'll be honest, to my eyes, most mid to high end waxes shine about the same. I'm skeptical of anyone who claims they can tell a dramatic difference in shine between various quality waxes. Any small difference is going to be lost as soon as the car gets a little bit of dust on it, which if you park outside like I do will be a matter of hours. So for me, the primary differentiator amongst high quality waxes is protection and longevity. I want a wax that's going to protect my car's finish well, and do it for a long time before I need to put another coat on. I drive a Laguna blue S2000, which is a very dark shade of blue. It shows scratches and swirls more readily than lighter colors. I'm fairly obsessive about keeping it clean, but unfortunately do not have a garage and have to park outside. I want a wax that protects my cars finish and lasts a long time. So far, the Collinite 845 is working nicely. After one month and two washes, the paint is still slick from the wax. Most other waxes I have tried before would be wearing off by now, but the 845 is holding strong. I had read from others than 845 can be difficult to wipe off, but I didn't find that to be the case. It went on very smoothly and came off fairly easy. That said, when I waxed my car, it had no wax at all on the finish. I would imagine that if there was already wax on there (and you were adding a second layer), then it would be significantly harder to wipe off. It is worth noting that this wax is a goopy semi-solid at room temperature. If you get it warm, it will turn into a thick liquid. The warm, thick liquid state is the ideal state to apply it to the car. You will get better adhesion and bonding with the surface. Overall for the price, this is a great wax. This bottle contains 10-15 applications on a medium sized vehicle.
