Q: Does it last long time?

It depends on your child. If you have an older son that plays a lot of action games, then not they do not. If you have a younger child it may last longer. Bottom line I have been through 3 of them now. It's worth it to pay the extra and buy the expensive ones through Meta.

Q: What is the difference between this and Oculus branded cable?

I don't believe there is any difference they are both type c and transfer the same power/speed.

Q: does this wire really work?

Yes works perfectly with my quest2 vr. Cable is a bit heavy and stuff but works well
