Good camera, great suction cup. Extra long power cord.
Bought this used. For what it is, it’s a great dash camera. Didn’t come with an Instruction manual so I downloaded one offline. The video and picture quality is great but sometime hard to read license plates. So not the best for hit/run situations. Suction cup is amazing. Only complaint is the docking mount. It’s very secure. I have a hard time removing just the camera sometimes so I find it easier to just remove the SIM card and transfer data that way. I would buy again to put in the wife’s car. Power cord is super long, makes it easier to hid. Takes a regular SIM card. Don’t buy a fancy, large capacity. It won’t work.

Inexpensive, decent quality
Picture could be a little more clear, but this works great. Does what we need it to do. Just make sure you don’t buy the right capacity SD card. We didn’t notice the requirement and bought the wrong size at first. Adheres to the window well too.

Ok for the price
Considering the price, it's a pretty good deal. The quality is good. Only a few issues:-The lens isn't wide enough. I placed the car off-center a bit, and it doesn't fully cover the surroundings of the front.-The adhesive is very strong. It's a good thing until - as I mentioned, I placed it off-center - I was unable to remove it. :/

Quality Basic Dashcam
In regards to the Nextbase 122 Dash Cam, if you are looking for a dash cam with basic features... then this is the cam for you. Quality build from a quality manufacturer that regularly ranks at the top for dash cams. For us, we did not need all the bells and whistles and therefore settled for the entry level. Very Happy!

Best bang for your buck
Good budget camera. If you want a better quality video, spend more money, but if you just want to have a decent dash cam, this one will work for you. Haven't bought the rear facing add-on or polarizing filter, but considered it.

video is a little shaky
Promptly received camera, tried it a few days later. Disappointed that the only maximum option for length of videos is 3 minutes, would have preferred at least 10 minute video length, though it does loop record, but it's a pain to have a TON of 3 minute videos to sift through. Next the quality is pretty good, but video is shaky, guess with the $59.99 version, there is no stabilizer. Pretty good quality for the price. Wish it had a USB cable instead of the cigarette lighter type charger. I've an older car with only one cigarette lighter, so I can't have my phone and the camera plugged in at the same time, and the camera will not run if it's not plugged in. Other than that, a good value for the price.

Great Dash Cam for the Price
Honestly Iove this dash cam. It's easy to use, has great functionality, and the connections are nice. I like the 90⁰ angle plug so that it can go straight up into the headliner without much noticable cable showing. I also purchased the hard wiring kit from NextBase to complete the install on my 2005 Ford Ranger!

Driving's Necessity!
Driving is becoming a really dangerous affair in that electric cars can accelerate faster than "normal" combustion engined cars, with drivers thinking that acceleration alone will get them out of trouble....but it doesn't and, moreover, despite younger drivers effectively "better qualified" than us oldies, they seem to think that normal courtesies of the road do NOT apply to them....seemingly, red lights are now "optional" and, when an obstruction in the road (like a parked car) is on their side, they do not feel the need to wait before proceeding past when a vehicle coming in the opposite direction clearly has "priority"Sadly, resultant, a dash-cam really is a necessity to protect yourself as much as protect other road users...indeed, seemingly too, whenever there is an accident the police leave roadside messages asking for dash-cam footage to assist in their enquiries.Sadly too, because of the way that insurance companies work, dash-cam evidence from your camera will help your case enormously in the unfortunate case that you are a "victim" of some of the crazy drivers out there. This is now my third NextBase dash-cam and whilst it is not the all singing, all dancing version, it does give me all of the features I need to feel "safe" when driving on Britain's crumbling road network - and for a relatively small cost too. Uploading information from the camera onto my laptop is very easy and the quality of the recordings is more than adequate too....and is certainly good enough to send onto the YouTubers who are always looking for evidence of bad driving habits (as indeed are too the police who in various parts of the country are more than happy to take upload evidence of bad driving examples wherein which they can pursue the driver in question......yes, I know it's lazy policing, but at least it's something that they can do from the comfort of their office chairs! 😂Easy to fit and sits high in the windscreen on a 3M sticky pad meaning that it does not intrude into the driver's field of view (unlike the old models that were on rather large suction padded brackets!

Excellent value, simple to use mid range dash cam
ROB'S THREE MONTH REVIEWI purchased the Nextbase 122 Dash Cam three months ago, installed it the next day and been in constant use since. I am very pleased with it.I'd had cheap £30 generic dashcams before and while they're cheap, the picture quality was quite poor and they seemed to stop working properly after a couple of months. So I was looking for a mid range dashcam and had actually been recommended a different Nextbase camera from the Which? website, which came out at about £150. Shopping around though I found this one for £60 and gave it a go.Installation: The Nextbase 122 has a clever install set up where the base sticks to the windscreen and then the camera uses a strong magnet and a clip to connect to the base. The camera: The base and the camera feel very well built. The shape means it is less obtrusive than other dashcams I've had.Using: The menu is simple to set up and use The picture quality is good, there are higher pixel cameras but this is perfectly adequate. I would thoroughly recommend.
