This is the way to go if you need to apply ice to the back. It covers the back, so there are no missed areas. It is easy to fasten on. I find lying on my back or sitting up with it pressed to my back maximizes exposure to the healing cold. I have been using it a few times a week since I got it, especially after cupping, deep tissue massage, or A.R.T. work has been done, and I am noticing a huge difference in my recovery.Its flexible velcro straps make it easy and comfortable to place on and hold in place if you don't want to sit back or lie on it. Its ability to retain the coolness of the ice works great. I may have solved the issue of my wife not wanting us to get an AC Unit installed this summer lol.

I was very impressed with how well this vest is made - really a quality product for the price as far as workmanship goes. It took me a minute to figure out I was trying to put it on upside down but once I figured that out it went in easy with nice stretchy adjustable Velcro straps. Even as a woman with boobs it was comfortable with straps over chest because the straps are very wide and stretchy. Very adjustable with the Velcro feature. I froze this overnight in the freezer - I wrapped it tightly in a plastic bag so it would absorb no odors. It’s kind of bulky but no bigger than a lot freezer food items. I was gobsmacked at how cold this thing was when I put it on. If you want it on bare skin the lining is very soft and non-irritating. However I only had it on (laying down in it) for maybe 10 minutes before I had to take it off as it was just too cold (numbing) on bare skin. I think you’d have to be a bit careful - like not fall asleep with it on. Wearing it over a light T-shirt was better but still if you are laying on it it might get uncomfortably cold rather quick. If you were just walking around it’s much better because it isn’t plastered against your skin.Which brings me to the only negative: This thing is heavy! When you think about it you are basically wearing a heavy water filled vest- I do think that you would get accustomed to it - but if you are small framed it really is a bit much. I think this would be fantastic for road construction crews or working in hot environments - men should find it quite manageable. I think it’s worth it for the price to try - it’s so well made. I can’t vouch for how long it stays frozen as I didn’t have it out long enough to thaw while wearing. I did notice a bit of condensation when I set it out to thaw before returning - it left some water on the counter - but this is typical for anything with ice inside that melts. Overall worth the try!

From someone who has multiple spinal surgeries and currently is suffering from thoracic herniations, this ice pak works great and very easy to put on and it's very comfortable no moving around ! Thank you

Works as described! Nice quality and well made. Does not take it too long to get really cold and fits well on the back and partially on the shoulders.

Good quality, decent length of straps, sturdy velcro straps. Freeze 6 hours, use 30 mins up to 1 hours. Freeze overnight (longer than 6 hours), use 1 hour up to 90 minutes (not 2 hours cold). NOT worth the price $29.99. A large bag of frozen peas last 1 hours up to 1 hour and 30 minutes and it doesn't need to freeze 6 hours before use again.

highly recommend!! amazing ice pack, but velcro can wear over time

Bought alot of strap on ice packs for my back but this one, by far, is the best. No staps digging into your sides in an attempt to keep them from falling. My only suggestion would be a little longer on the bottom. Covers whole back but if lower back might not reach. Can loosen steps but just an idea.
