Works most the time
This is an interesting contraption, which I bought to catch and release the large wolf spiders that are beneficial to my garden, which often get in my house. It works most the time on the average sized ones but I had a really large one, close to 3 inches and it definitely had no effect on that guy he just ran off. but I still kinda like this thing. It’s better than picking them up with paper towels and dumping them outside.

Cool idea. Broke instantly though
Cool idea but mine instantly broke. The plastic isnt strong enough for any clamping force from the trigger. Its a shame

If you have a spider phobia GET THIS!
I've had a serious spider phobia my whole life. My ex used to handle them but we broke up and i moved out-suddenly its on ME to get the spiders! I find it really hard to get close to them-even if i have a big wad of paper towels im convinced the spiders going to get out or i'll miss it, and itll get on my hand, so each time i had to get a spider itd take ten minutes of psyching myself up to do it, i'd fail half the time bc i tried to do itfrom far away, ect.Critter Catcher changed everything! First of all its LONG (Thats what she said), which enables me to stay a safe distance away so i dont start panicking. 2ndly the gripper bristles WORK. Big or small, they trap the spider and it doesnt fall out either as you walk through the house to let it go outside or flush it or whatever youre doing. They even give you a clear plastic cup that fits over the bristles, which you can put on after you catch the spider for added security. They give you a wall hook with a sticky back to hang it, too.Honestly best purchase ive made in a while!

Love that it helps tiny critters, just positional
It’s gentle and hasn’t harmed any bug I’ve used it with (carefully). It works for 99% of cases, but is hard to use in corners or directly above you on the ceiling. It’s not a design issues, just physics. Get the camo one… bugs will never see you coming.

It’s okay
This thing works okay, but on the two occasions I’ve used it so far, it took several tries to capture the house spider. The first was a little on the small side and in my tub. I had to chase it around quite a bit. Once captured, It was secure and I just opened the door and released easily. The second was a larger, faster house spider scurrying across my basement floor. It should have been easy but again it took several tries and I almost lost it to the baseboards.I got this because I prefer something that doesn’t require charging or batteries, and I don’t like to kill critters unnecessarily. In the end I did catch both spiders without harm, so I’m not sorry I bought it. But it’s not super easy and if the spider was in a corner or something it would be much trickier.
