I was making potstickers/wontons I call them. I don't know much about Asian food and I got this recipe from a co-worker years ago! They were awesome! I reconstituted them in boiling water and wasn't in the position to save the broth (as the packaging advises), but I would for sure next time if I was being adventurous and doing soups or similar. Heck, on second thought, I should have just let the broth cool and drank it myself! Delicious! I used to order a brand from Amazon religiously for this recipe but they were discontinued some time ago. I tried the Vigorous Mountain Dried Shiitakes this time and they were out of this word. Good sizes, thick and meaty. Package was huge and price very reasonable compared to what I used to pay for the small size other brand. Highly recommended from a basic beginner with one recipe that is devoured every time I make it. Best mushrooms I've ever used in it.

These mushrooms are excellent! They hydrate easily in hot water and they are delicious in my stir fries, yakisoba, and bibimbap as well as other Asian dishes.

Lacks flavor

These Shiitake Mushrooms were much better then I expected. The stems were already removed and the mushrooms were sizeable, flat and well formed. I'd buy these again...

When I opened the mushrooms they don’t have much smell but I took a small amount and put them in my hand Ninja chopper and boy the smell was wonderful. I am cooking a pot of northern beans and the smell with these mushrooms in them is awesome. I will buy these mushrooms again. They are a great seasoning for many dishes. There is no comparasion between these and canned mushrooms. If you want flavor in your cooking use these. I have now done 3 slow cookers of beans with these mushrooms, split pea, garbanzo, and northern. I am vegan and wanted more flavor for my beans, now I have it. Thank you

These dried mushrooms are great for flavoring dishes! The reconstitute quickly and add just the fight amount of umami I am looking for! Plus you get a lot for your money. This is a good buy!

The best shiitake mushrooms I've purchased. Good sized mushrooms that are whole and very clean and very tadty. I'm so happy with them that I've just ordered 2 more packs.

I really enjoyed using these shitake mushrooms..in our food and mainly my dogs food. It keeps very well in the package and doesn't take long to plump up after soaking it in water.

Nice, and the bonus is there are no dehydrated maggots in there like nearly every other dried mushrooms I've purchased before. So will be definitely buying this again!
