Thank goodness for Oregon's Wild Harvest Fenugreek!!! It has saved my supply. My 9 month old is EBF and went on a nursing strike as his new tooth came in. I couldn't get my supply back up! I've had stomach pain for years now on & off when life gets extremely stressful & loving spicy & acidic foods/drinks doesn't help. I was taking another brand of fenugreek but decided to try this since it's organic. I take a minimum of six daily and it does help maintain my milk supply. However, it seems like I have to take a higher dosage of these to see an actual increase. But I still like them for the price and quality - and the fact that they're easy to swallow.

For me, I tried over 40 different foods or herbs for increasing milk production when it was low. This one, done in the following way, was what consistently seemed to increase milk to where I have an oversupply now and have stopped it. Start at 1 cap, 3x/day. Increase to up to 4 caps, 4x/day. You know when you've done enough when you start smelling like maple syrup... it's like my armpits smelled like ihop one day and i did it about a week longer before slowly decreasing back down till I was off of it (they say on blogs you can stop cold turkey, but i didn't want to risk losing my supply). My milk supply has dramatically gone up, thank goodness! I bought it because I needed to pump bottles to give to my 5 month old after having a medical procedure done where I couldn't nurse for 24 hours. I got this product because I was not producing enough milk for my twins when they hit a growth spurt at 6 weeks. This supplement worked wonders for my milk supply, it almost doubled in 48 hours. HOWEVER. Be cautious of your babies temperament. Both my babies were never gassy or fussy and day 1 after taking this they both were extremely gassy and were inconsolable at times. They went from waking up at night to be fed and changed and peacefully going back to sleep to screaming for hours. According to what I've read about 20% of mothers and babies have this reaction. So rest assured if you try this and your baby's behavior changes and they're gassy, fussy and sleeping less it's this product. I stopped taking it after two days and both babies returned to their normal habits. The product itself did its job perfectly when it comes to increasing milk production I just wanted other moms to be aware of the possible affects so they can stop if they have a similar experience to mine.
