Lock is heavy enough to deter most attacks, would be sturdy enough to make the clasp a more viable option for thieves.Now for the downside, the lock is to wide to lock the container we bought it for, and I got a couple of metal splinters from the rough construction.They were about what I would expect to pay for this kind of thing, on the whole value for money.

Solid and love the spring bolt

Bought for my daughter for front gate. Really good quality. Works really well. Keeps both gates securely locked preventing any uninvited guest and also prevents her children from leaving her garden. Fits perfectly

Purchased this padlock less than a month ago, since when it has been unlocked 3 times. It's a good sturdy lock, but the quality is atrocious, as, on the 3rd occasion, the lock had rusted already - both the keyhole and the bar, such that I was unable to unlock it. Managed to get the key in, but the bar didn't spring back far enough to remove the padlock, so had to find a strong man, who poked something through the hasp to push the bar back using brute force. Hardly what one would expect from a padlock costing £23 and I would advise not giving it house room!

This Lock was everything it stated it was and more it was well worth every penny and should Iever need another Lock I would certainly look at this one for
