Ordered 1/2 or 1 size larger, fits perfectly Nice Shoe
Amazon recommended a size 12 for me I guess from past purchases? I usually wear an 11 or 11.5 but these in size 12 are perfect and very comfortable. Well make and good looking. I really like them. I hope I am not doing a disservice by reviewing these without some time passing, but I expect they will wear well. I have not tested the waterproof quality, but I didn't buy them to hike around in a wet forest.

So far, So good!
Good fit, shoes are comfortable. I wore them all day today to “break them in,” but they were soft enough to wear out do the box. I bought them for a trip to Scotland since these are advertised as waterproof and I was looking for more of a casual looking shoe rather than a boot. If anything changes i will update the review, but right now it’s all good!

Take a Chance on These Shoes!
I've never bought shoes online before, as I normally like to try them on first. So when I bought these, I took a chance. I even kept the box and all the tags, because if I didn't like them, they would be going right back to Amazon! I bought these shoes to replace my Columbia hiking shoes in which I had for over ten years, so my expectations were high. When I received them, I was impressed. Nice quality leather, all seams where the rubber met the leather seemed to have a tight seal, no gaps. It looked like a well made product. In fact, they looked so good, I thought they could probably pass for work shoes. So the next day I wore them to work with nice khaki pants and a nice shirt, and they worked great! In fact, my boss even threw me a "nice shoes" compliment. I've now been wearing these shoes to work every day for two weeks. They're very comfortable, and I love the leather look. They look great in jeans and shorts. I'm very satisfied with these shoes. They're now my main shoes. They were a little expensive, but they are very good quality, and I believe I will get many years of use of of them. Highly recommend.6 Month UpdateI love these shoes. I probably wear them 5 out of 7 days during the week. They're my main shoes, and I know I made the right decision when buying these. Highest quality and my highest recommendation!

HIGHLY SUGGESTED!!
My purchase was in September of 2022. These shoes are worn daily and used as a hiking / work shoe receiving fair abuse. The Vibram soles wear like iron, still having a good amount of tread on them. The leather uppers have held up extremely well. They are still comfortable and provide good breathability. My only complaint are two small incidentals. As with most shoes, these laces suck! I'd advise talking to your local shoe repair shop and ask what laces will remain tied. These are not a hiking lace. The other small incidental is the toe piece that comes unglued, making the shoes look cheap. My wife thought they were worn out!As far as buying another pair... absolutely. I will be purchasing a new pair soon.

Great pair of everyday shoes
This is my fourth or fifth pair of Merrell Moabs over the last 25 years. (They were called something else originally.) I wear them a lot. They are great for rain and snow because they have an aggressive tread pattern. They wear well, and I usually get at least four years out pf a pair, then they become work shoes for around the house and yard for a few years before I throw them out. They fit well, and are comfortable to wear all day, every day. Worth the money spent every time.

Bought in February, dead by May
At first when I got these infractions thought they were great. Then I put them on and tightened my laces for the first time and the leather eyelet ripped out. Wow!I work in hay delivery and feed sales, so I'm on my feet with lots of weight on my feet in addition to my bodyweight. Here's what I noticed:Pros:water proofStable and comfortable solesCasual look without being clunkyGood priceCons: (warning, there's a lot)Poor quality: toes, eyelets, laces, foam trimmings, all ripped within 4 months. They're not longer waterproof due to the holes, my toes stick out of the front (my manager comments on my socks colors)Laces broke 3 or 4 times before I replaced themSizing is weird, not having half sizes past 12 is terrible. Bought 1 size too big and it fit okRubber sole is already worn down to slickTop rise is too low so it sits much further below the heel than other sneaker type shoes. Very weird for a bootNo stitching on sole to body of boot, this was the first part to really deteriorate.Very thin leather, no toe cap, no arch support, ugh.Buy these to wear once a weekend, they'll do fine hiking 4 times a month.Do not buy as your daily boot, I am currently only wearing them because I don't make enough money to buy new ones while I wait for my boots from south Africa to finally arrive (shoutout tim green!).

Great pair of shoes
I have had these shoes for a little over a year. They have lasted my though tons of walking and hiking, with very little wear showing. The fit is great, I have a slightly higher arch. The shoes feel lighter than I was expecting, which I like, without feeling like they are made of cheap martials. They seem waterproof enough for me. I have worn them in the rain and through small amounts of water, they have done fine through those. I have never tried to completely submerge my feet, but I don't expect them to be completely waterproof like that.

Quality issues
What has happened to quality at Merrill. Fit great, feel wonderful but already starting to come apart in spots? They haven’t been out on the trail or beaten up in anyway so it’s concerning to me rubber starting to pull away from the shoe. I have the same pair in black which has held up much better and have been put to the test…It’s like most things today, start cutting corners to save a dime and end up selling a crappy version of the original.Welcome to 2025 and the 21st century.
