Nova Maple Candy - Pure Maple Syrup Sugar Leaf Candy (16 Ounces (1 Pound))

Very good maple sugar candy. It must have been made from this year's maple tree sap run. The season starts when the winter weather ends, the temperatures start rising and the sap starts running. They then tap the tree, collect the sap and boil it down to make the syrup and candy.It came packaged in a vacuum-tight sealed bag. The candy was very soft and started hardening after a few days of being open. I was worried about ordering any maple sugar candy from any company, due to all of the review comments about dried-out, hard candy. The way Nova packaged it prevented it from drying out before it arrived. There are flyers in the packaging to let you know to consume the product soon after opening, with about a 3-month expiration date. I am not sure if this way of packaging works longer than the 3-month expiration date, or if they make the candy fresh throughout the year and package it this way. I sure hope so, as I want to be able to order it all year long and not just after the sugar run.Thanks Nova, for packing your candy to keep it fresh and soft. It's the way soft maple sugar candy should be.

We haven’t had maple candy in a long time so when we saw these online we decided to give them a try! They were a velvety, delicious, melt in your mouth maple candy! They were soft and fresh, everyone in our house loved them. We will definitely be buying again :)

Stale, non-returnable. I just received these today. I consider myself a maple candy connoisseur. The best maple candies are tender, melt in your mouth delicacies with a thin maple sugar crunch on the perimeter. Also, some of the candies appear pale along the edge as if they have been freezer burned. This experience is more like eating maple butter that was smeared into molds then left out to harden and get stale. Not at all what I expect for this kind of money. If I wanted maple butter, I would have bought a jar for half the price.

Melts in my mouth and so sweet my teeth hurt. That's how I know it's so good.

It's too creamy. Not the sugary candy I remember as a kid. Good flavor but I wanted that gritty texture.

These are too good. I don't even have to touch them - they jump in my mouth. They are really, really good and yummy, but not something to eat regularly. I'd gain a hundred pounds!
