This unit is a waste of time and money
I bought this item about 10 days ago. This was the first time I buy an air fryer so I cannot compare this air fryer to any other air fryer on the market. I was excited when I first got it. I wanted to try it right away. I filled half the basket with frozen French fries. I did not add any oil since the frozen French fries that you buy from the super market has some oil applied to it already. I turned on the air fryer and let it cook the fries for 15 minutes at 350º F (per the instructions). The fries came out very dry and very crispy (way over-cooked). I said to myself well it is going to take some trial and error until I master this gadget. The next morning I dropped in a bagel. Again I followed the instruction. I let it cook the bagel for 12 minutes at the prescribed temperature. The literature says that toast should take 6-7 minutes to cook. Since bagels are thicker than ordinary toast I let go for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes the bagel came out half toasted. In the afternoon I wanted to do hamburgers and French fries. I live with my teen age son and my grown up daughter so I needed to cook for three people. I thought I can cook both the hamburgers and fries concurrently as I saw on some literature of other air fryers by other manufacturers. Well, I was wrong you cannot do that with this air fryer. There are so many reasons why you can’t. For one if you put a hamburger patty on the bottom tray the hot air is going to touch only the upper surface of the patty. The lower surface will remain uncooked until you flip the patty. You cannot insert the basket with the French fries because the basket needs to be supported on the open wired tray. If you try to insert the open wired tray so you can put the basket on top of it you will jam the hamburger patty. So you have to cook either the hamburger first or the fries first. I chose to do the hamburger first. The size of this unit will only enable you do one big patty (say ¼ pounder) or two small patties (say 1/8th or may be 1/6th of pound each). I put two small patties on the open wired tray and inserted the tray into the fryer. This way hot air will circulate on the top and bottom of the patties and cook both surfaces at the same time and the fat will drip on the bottom tray. I let the hamburgers cook as if they are two small steaks. I followed the instruction for cooking a steak. After 20 minutes the burgers are hardly cooked. I flipped the patties and let them cook for another 20 minutes. Well, after the 20 minutes expired the burgers still needed to be cooked some more. I gave the burgers another 10 minutes. Although I was not satisfied that the burgers are sufficiently cooked I decided that it is good enough. I gave the burgers to my children. I had none since if I tried to cook three patties each one will probably be the size of a half dollar coin or slightly bigger. Now we are on for the French fries. I filled the basket with frozen grocery store fries and I let it cook (as prescribed in the instructions) for 15 minutes. It turned out that 15 minutes are hardly enough to warm-up the fries. We gave the fries another 15 minutes. This time the fries started to turn golden but still little soggy and needed more time to cook. We gave the fries another 10 minutes. This time the fries came a little OK but not perfect. My children commented that the burgers are the worst that they ever tasted. The fries did not taste anything like the fries that you buy at any fast food restaurant or the fries we cook at home using a deep oil fryer or an oil filled frying pan. The next day I tried to fry some eggplant to make a Mediterranean dish that requires fried eggplants. I cut the eggplant into wedges. I oiled them and put them in the basket and let them fry for 30 minutes at the highest temperature setting which I believe is 350ºF. Once again the eggplants came out unevenly cooked, hardly fried, and very dry and unsuitable for the dish that I planned to prepare. I had to refry the eggplant the conventional way (on the stove using an ordinary oil filled frying pan). I needlessly wasted 30 minutes plus a few minutes tinkering with the controls of this so called air fryer. The same task with better results could be accomplished via the conventional way in less than 10 minutes. To make the story short. I believe that this gadget is a waste of time and money. I doubt that I will get better results from another air fryer by another manufacturer at this price range. I strongly believe that you cannot cook a decent meal for three people with this air fryer. May be you could with a much bigger unit (by a different manufacturer) that has better specs and has more intuitive controls and can perform much better than this one. You may have to pay much higher price for such a unit. I even think that with this “Rollibot 3.5 Qt Hot Air Fryer XL” it will be a pain cooking a decent meal for one person and that a person will waste a good one to two hours of his time.I really cannot believe that an honest person will give this gadget a five star review or even four stars. I strongly believe that more than 90% of the 5 star reviews that I saw here are fake and no less than half the 4 star reviews are fake also.

What a great idea, get the rancid cooking oil out of your body.
Been using this unit for quite a while. Read the bad reviews, and my fryer works very well, easy to set up, and cooks with no oil.I have dried a ton of weed in it at harvest time to smoke, but I'll throw a par-sliced potato in for a snack.Even a leftover slice of pizza is good as new in a minute or two, and the thing can cook a meal also.Only downside is, at 1400W a bigger unit with more cubic feet, will make the convection more effective and will cook food faster. If lower power is desirable this little unite has been great. (compared with a friends larger air fryer)

I am a believer go Rollibot!!!
Ok I came in as a skeptic . I checked out many fryers reading reviews and watching videos.I am an Italian(thought we will see...) got my fryer put it thru the paces 1st meatballs(three meat) then chicken cutlet then french fries !!! I am a believer. Perfect meatballs in just 11minutes (with no standing and tending).Cutlets were nice and moist inside yet crusty outside without being all greasy!!!! Life changing! (Fyi I did mist with olive oil spray).Rollibot was mid sized and nicely priced and was the oven style I prefer vs the drawer. There are many styles and sizes out there with a huge price range but Rollibot is just right. What could be better then an old world tradition made healthier ' )

clean up is easy as the tray an basket come out and wash ...
There was a learning curve as I was using this to replace a deep fryer. Most of the time, clean up is easy as the tray an basket come out and wash right up. By the time you heat the oil in a deep fryer it takes the same amount of time as this. I have found that if it is not overfilled and there is room for air to flow through the food, it does a great job. I love the skin on fried chicken and fish. I also love that I do not have to clean breading out of the oil. It requires so much less maintenance than a deep fryer. The menu works for most things except breaded cheese sticks which I am still figuring out. I am going to get a 2nd one for the RV as this is ideal when camping in an RV.

Works very well!
So far, I have tried frying chicken wings in this. The wings turned out nice and crispy. One note: the recipe for wings that is in the instruction booklet calls for half a cup of olive oil. That HAS to be a mistake, as that is just way too much oil for an air fryer. I did it anyway, but found that I had to let the wings drain on a rack after marinating in the oil. My guess is that the recipe should be for maybe half a tablespoon of olive oil (for eight wing pieces) instead of half a cup! Every other recipe in the booklet calls for one teaspoon of oil or some similarly small amount. I have yet to try other recipes, but the crispy wings were delicious, especially coated with Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce!

I love my Rollibot
I love my Rollibot. I made perfect fluffy baked potatoed. I'll never cook baked potatoes in the oven again. Personal pizzas are pretty good too. The best part is, I don't have to flip my wings half way through because Rollibot lets the airflow evenly. My wings are always the perfect crisp outside, juicy inside for me. Clean up is a breeze and it's not so big that it takes up my entire counter. Using the Rollibot is so easy and you can choose the temperature and how long you want to cook. It even has the option to preheat. I would totally recommend the Rollibot to anyone looking to invest in an air fryer.

It gets the job done.
I don't really have much to comment about this. It does what I expected it to do with very little mess. The presets are nice. Having a preheat feature is almost pointless, it takes like 3 minutes to heat up to temp.

It's alright
Still learning how to use it. It's really different from what we're used to (a deep fryer). Can't put as much as we thought in the basket - works better with a single layer.

Good little "convective toaster oven" - sorry I meant air fryer. Small, compact, useful, washable, cooks portions for 1-2 fast.
Got it for CAD70 shipped. Good little "convective toaster oven". Small capacity, but OK if you want to cook individual portions or portions for 2 people. Does great kale chips, great at toasting slices of bread, cooking sausages, meat, eggs thoroughly. Will cook potato fries with the qualities and drawbacks of an air fryer: they will be much healthier, yet won't have the crustiness of deep-fried potato fries (and according to reviews, you'd get the same results from any air fryer). Good alternative to at least a regular oven in a sense: it cooks an individual meal fast, which is handy when you are in a hurry. Oh, and the shape is really good: it has round edges and it will fit well in a small kitchen, it is small and compact and uses little space! For the time being, I find it very maintainable/washable. A nice little glove is included. I hope spare parts will be available at a reasonable price...

Single serving sized
Pretty small, more personal sized than family sized, so you can't fit much in the basket. It's annoying that you have to set the timer or the heat by holding a button instead of just being able to punch in the numbers. It's also annoying to have to start over every time if you need to add more time.

Awesome product
This is the second airfryer we have purchased. This one is my favorite of the two. The fry basket does not stick and it even makes toast.
