why do Low carb pastas all have a texture of cardboard!
I had hoped that this low carb pasta would be better than previous ones that I have tried. Unfortunately this one also has texture of cardboard.

I'd buy it again
If you want pasta, then you need to buy pasta. If you put it in your mouth expecting pasta you may go YUK. But if you approach it as a new food option, it's actually quite good.I made up a portion based on pasta quantities - it was too much. You need about 80% because it's very filling. I had mine with pesto and parmesan. It's not dry but it doesn't come out of the pan dripping with water that merges into your sauce. I think it will be best with a tomato- or cream-based coating sauce, or maybe pesto with some extra olive oil.It's quite substantial and chewy, which maybe why it it is so filling.Taste wise, to my mind pasta is only a carrier for the sauce which is where the real flavour lies, so this is not unpleasant at all. I don't think it tastes of cardboard (not that I've eaten that to know).It had no adverse effects on my gut at all.It's expensive because it's a niche product with fairly low demand compared to mass produced pasta.I would buy it again because sometimes you just need need food in a bowl and soup won't hack hack it. And for those who have ever spiralised a courgette to go with pasta sauce - this is a way better option!

Smells horrible when cooking, if you're expecting it to taste just like 'normal' pasta it doesn't.

I think the other reviews are being slightly harsh about this product. Obviously it’s not pasta, and it doesn’t taste like it, but it’s robust enough to pair with a sauce or meatballs and keep you full, it’s a fine alternative in my view.
