Nike Men’s Free RN Flyknit 2017 Running Shoe

I'm writing this review after two months of use as my standard workout footgear.This is a very light, well made shoe. The soles are very supportive, responsive, & flexible while providing comfortable arch support. The knit body breathes exceptionally well & makes wearing these shoes w/o any socks very comfortable & w/o causing your feet to sweat or stink. The deep cutout around the ankle & the high padded fabric around the Achilles tendon eliminates rubbing, chaffing, & blisters. The insoles are removable & washable which is a nice feature. Wearing this shoe is almost like wearing a comfortable sock w/ a sole.One caveat - - if you have wide feet, these shoes can be a little tight across the top of your foot. You may need to size up, or at least open the lacing up a good bit.

I LOVVVVE these. Not only are they functional but they are super cute to run around for errands. I do a lot of different exercises: running (outdoor and treadmill), crossfit, speed flex, etc and these are fantastic. I probably wouldn't run more than few miles in these but I have other running shoes for that. And, too much wear these might loose their shape and support. But, they are so cross functional and look super stylish! This is an update to my review in Aug 2017 (now May 2018). I still love these but after working out and low mileage running these do loose their shape and your foot will slide side to side more. These will not last long and after about 6 mos I started to notice the change in my shoe. I still love the look and they are super comfortable but just know when you buy these they lose their shape and function over time.

Extremely comfortable shoe. It's great for trail running, but be prepared to pick rocks out of the sole. The ribs in the sole of the shoe are like deep slits that flex and open as you walk to give you superior traction and comfort and let your foot flex. But this opens up pockets into which rocks LOVE to hide. It's not a big deal. I just use a flathead screwdriver to pick out the rocks every now and then. It's worth the trouble for the FANTASTIC feel that you get with this kind of sole.Oh and the flyknit breathes so well! I have a condition that makes my feet sweat PROFUSELY. This makes my shoes literally become wet after a few hours. Almost like stepping in a puddle (I know, gross right?). But these shoes breathe so well that my feet stay dry. And believe me, that's no small feat (rimshot).

Extremely comfy and fit my feet like a glove. Way lighter and better than the running shoes the Army issues. Definitely recommend, especially if you're a Private at AIT making that Army money

OUTSTANDING shoes. First time buying nike. If youre looking for a high quality/lightweight feel, this is it. Worth every penny in my opinion.Tip: These definitely work your soleus muscle more than your gastrocnemius, and I certainly over did it with these at first and as a result had some running injuries. If youre not accustomed to barefoot/minimal running, train in these gradually. I should have cycled them in with my normal asics to avoid injuries. Just a heads up. Lastly, they DO deliver more impact to your knees and force you to run more on the balls of your feet. Not sure if these would be ideal for flatfooted runners.I heard some other runners complaining that the strap in the back rubbed against the achilles and caused irritation. I personally experienced none of that.Also i heard the material isnt as nice as previous years, i see no issues and think its just fine.Note: i wear socks. if you plan ongoing barefoot they seem upto the task, but i definitely noticed some "sliding" around of my foot when breaking these in. That might be worse barefoot. Plus with socks there is ZERO smell to these shoes which is a plus. IMO thin running socks are ideal for these.Aside from that, these are the best shoes ive ever owned and i wouldve paid $150 for them if i had to!

I freaking LOVE these shoes. Personally, I prefer running barefoot, and being able to feel the ground under your feet, so I deeply appreciate a shoe that’s sock free friendly. These are great, they’re so light, feels like nothing. More of a sock with a sole attached rather than a traditional shoe. I love that the arch isn’t padded unnecessarily, and it even has a sole you can pull out if you want less cushioning. This is the first time I’ve ever been excited to buy a Nike shoe. Been using them since 2016, never going back.

Went on my first run with these yesterday. It was amazing how much better my run was with these shoes. I was using mizuno's before that. They are super light and just flat out sexy looking. I will say the Color in the picture looks black and red but in the sunlight they are actually purple. Which is not what i expected but they fit so good i wouldnt dream of returning them. They fit nice and snug and move with your foot like a sock. Dont run in these if raining though, they will get drenched pretty fast.

The design changed from the last pair of these I bought... which was odd and not expected. The quality is poorer too... as part of the tongue material ripped... due to the new design (the tongue is connected rather than loose like most shoe tongues). The old style is great... so I wear those... these just sit in my closet. :(

Absolutely amazing shoes (replacing another pair of RN 17’s) perfect for everything from running to the commute. Really smooth ordering and delivery as well... if these are still available in a year or two’s time I would happily purchase again.
