NCY0400-1006 Lowering Seat Bracket (Black); Ruckus

I love my Ruck but the seating position left a lot to be desired. I’m 6’1 and the factory position put me too close to the handlebars; after 10-15 minutes the ride became uncomfortable. This is the perfect solution BUT ONLY IF you move the seat back. If you mount this in the factory position the seat will be way too low and STILL too close to the bars. I used this frame with the NCY adjustable seat kit (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CMU9AIO?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image)and now my Ruckus rocks! There are no instructions but very straightforward to install. Had a bit of difficulty getting all the holes to align. The screw holding on the helmet lock is tricky to remove. I very gently ground a slot in it with my Dremel and then removed it with a standard screwdriver. The pic shows frame installed with the NCY adjustable seat kit. Definitely a necessary upgrade, IMO, if you’re 6’1 or taller. Handles better and is much more comfortable to ride now. Note: I was not wild about the idea of having a hammered finished/ textured seat frame when the rest of my 2019 Ruckus is a smooth gloss finish but to my surprise I received a frame with a smooth gloss black finish that matches perfectly!

Wife loved her new Ruckus but was having to tiptoe it when she came to a stop. Bought this seat lowering frame and her Ruckus seat is the perfect height for her now. Hardest part of the install was removing the helmet lock screw from the old frame. Google it to see how to do it correctly.Product was well packaged and shipped quickly. Thanks Scootershop!

Decent product. Showed up at my door half out of the box. The product itself, high quality.

This seat frame is well made, well designed and fit pretty well. The finish isn't quite as durable as the stock seat though, and I'm not crazy about the textured finish. And it was kind of a struggle install- the front stays were spread a little too wide. I had to clamp it to the frame with vice-grips in order to get the bolts to bite. Next time I take it off I'll whack the front stays with a sledge hammer to "adjust" them.Other than those minor quibbles it's a perfectly good aftermarket part. Oh and let me add, this is one mod I wish I'd made right away. It makes a HUGE difference in performance. More stability and I swear I get an added mph or two to my top end from lowered wind resistance. If you haven't lowered your seat yet, do it now!

Looks/works great. I would have given five stars but installing it I needed to use a rachet strap to get it in place

Bought this for my 2016 Honda Ruckus. This was exactly what I was looking for, it allowed me to sit lower and further back which has made my ride a lot more comfortable. Installation was very easy.
