5 STARS - I'm totally hooked now, there is no going back. Own the Wind is intense, addictive and totally SEXY!!!
“He didn’t have to take it, she gave it. He took it anyway.”First let me start by saying I’m totally embarrassed to admit as a hard-core romance bookworm and blogger that this is only my second Kristen Ashley book ever. The first one was Rock Chick and that was quite a while ago. I loved it, and was hooked on this author’s style of writing but with over 900 books on my kindle my Kristen Ashley books seem to always get buried and that in itself is a horrendous tragedy. I stumbled upon Own the Wind on a night when I was once again at a loss, as to which book to read next and I dove in. This entire series revolves around a motor cycle club, its members, their families and their love interests.“The second his eyes hit that flag, he felt his life take shape.”Own the Wind centers around Tack the Chaos Motor Cycle club’s president’s daughter, Tabatha. Hopefully that sentence makes sense… Tabby is no stranger to the life of the MC; she after all has spent her entire life living surrounded by the lifestyle. She has had feelings for Shy Cage for as long as she can remember, but the issue, he doesn’t even know she exists or so she believes anyway. She runs a bit wild in her youth but after a conversation on night that does not sit well with her, Tabby changes how she spends her time, and who she spends it with. When she goes out on her own finally, she meets another man. One that is totally unfamiliar to the life that she has always lead, and he opens up a whole new world for her. Falling into love with a man so totally different to everything she has ever known is life changing. But when tragedy strikes and Tabby’s world is rocked, everything shifts yet again. Devastated in her grief she withdraws and is consumed in her grief for a time. When she emerges and Shy reappears in her life, for the first time in a long time it feels like she may be able to live again.“She wouldn’t want to see him now. She never wanted to see him. But he had to do something. He wasn’t her family. But she was his.”Shy and Tabby’s chemistry is electric, it could not and would not be denied. They have known each other for years, but Tabby is and always will be the MCs president’s daughter and Shy will always be a brother. The MC is very important to Shy and his brother’s mean the world to him. Tabby is now a nurse and Shy is a biker who works in a garage and auto supply store owned and operated by Chaos. Their lives could not be more different…yet they are the same.“Shy was giving me back me. He was guiding me to healing.”This series draws you in, the characters are deep and layered, and the way they are written allows you to feel like you truly know them. Their thoughts and feelings are on display and it made me begin to fall very early on in the story. By the end I was totally and completely in love. Tabby and Shy’s story is not one that I would consider insta love. Although both of them are intensely attracted from the very beginning to one another their relationship builds over time and it’s intense. It’s touching and a little dramatic but most importantly it feels authentic and not at all forced. The writing in this book is fantastic and it reeled me in. Once I sunk into this book I had a very hard time putting it down and when I did I felt angry because I couldn’t just stay immersed among the pages.I LOVED this book; I fell in love with ALL of it. The characters and their quirks, all of them even the supporting characters were fabulous and I love that there are other books in this series for me to read and love, focusing on the others in and around Chaos. I loved that there was a perfect amount of heat and sexiness to balance out the drama and tension. There is humor and romance; it has a little bit of everything for everyone who loves reading romance. If you’ve not yet started this series or heard of it, I highly recommend it, I enjoyed every minute of this book and I’ve already picked up Fire Inside, I cannot wait to start it, it’s going to be my next read. Fantastic writing, fabulous characters, motorcycles and danger, uber hot sexy scenes, it’s a Kristen Ashley book for CS, what’s not to love? I mean really… GET CLICKING!!!!!

Very Windy!!
This could be a first for a KA romance-- it was VERY ROMANTIC from the very very beginning. Watching the progression of two people who always had a thing for each other over the years, until they finally get their moment to be together. Very well done, very smoothly done (oh prof. editing!!). I enjoyed the character of Shy very much, his decision to grow up and go for a real relatationship instead of floating around in easy one night stands as he has for years. I was on the floor here-- Our alpha male hero actually said "make love" over and over again from the beginning!!! And "I love you" popped out of his mouth pretty quickly thereafter in the story. For a KA book that is unheard of!!! I was speechless and fell off my sofa while reading, sisters!!! Go Shy! (Go Kristin Ashley!!)However, why does he embark on a mature (for him) and more serious monagamous relationship with a nice girl like Rosalie for 3 whole months while he is spending almost all his free time with Tabby being her best friend and rock while waiting for her to get it together to be with him???? Makes no sense to me AT ALL. Confusing and ridiculous. Then Shy gets all defensive about it to Tabby. Huh? (Sexual encounters with "skanks" as they keep saying I could understand while he's waiting for T. to decide or be ready! this is Shy after all.) I think Rosalie is there as a tool for a dash of jealousy and (superficial) drama when they finally get together and then later bump into her at the mall. I found it lame and annoying. It cracked me up that after they get together suddenly Shy becomes Mr. Relationship Maturity...oh the philosophical oratorical gems that come out of his mouth about giving, receiving, keeping the balance, and all that KA sort of relationship chatter. Wow! Did he switch vitamins or his brand of beer overnight? And everyone is running around trying to "process" this and that and the other at this "juncture" or that "juncture". Oh brother.Enjoyed Shy's dealing with his mom and dad issues and getting closure with Tabby as inspiration. (Thank you Nightingale Inc!) That Jewelry scene with his Auntie was powerful. Loved Tab's confrontation with Tyra. Loved watching a family deal with their changing relationships with each other. Loved seeing Tack, Lee, Mitch, Brock, Hawk and Elvira (yay, she's got herself a Man!)Tex and yah, that was our girl Jet at Fortnum's! Glad to see the birth of eventful KA DANGER once more, which I missed in recent books, but it came at the very end of the book. So I'm sure this will carry us thru the entire Chaos series.I agree with other reviewers who were disappointed by the lack of classic KA descriptions of clothing, interior decor. I enjoy that about every KA heroine. That's how we connect and relate and are charmed by these unique women. Not so much here . Bummer. Especially as Tabby is a from birth biker girl who went out into the world, went to college, became a nurse who works in a hospital. All I got were bits and pieces of "Harley Davidson shirt, high heeled boots and lotsa silver." ( mIss the old days KA!) Oh yeah, and the ice crushing fridge. Too funny. Pure KA. loved that one! (Reminded me of Lauren and Tate!)All in all this book is very romantic, HOT. A satisfying read!

Love this series
I love this series as I do the Rock Chic's series . This book was about Shy and Tabby and the rocky road to love. I love Shy he was absolutely gorgeous, kind bossy, heart broken and a manwhore . That's until he falls in love with Tabby when she was nineteen. Tabby on the other hand has been in love with Shy since she was sixteen but love and life lead Tabby on road that is filled with heartache that harden her heart in some ways yet left her heart open and bleeding in others . Kristen Ashley knows how to bring out the vulnerability in her characters that make the reader relate to those characters and storyline in an abundance of ways . I can't wait to get started on the next book . Five stars from me.

Can the friendship between Shy Cage and Tab Allen become anything more with everything they have been through?
Loved this book - I was so looking forward to Shy Cage and Tabby Allen's story since Motorcycle Man. All our old favorites show up. This story is about 2 people who both have loved each other since Tab was at least 16; however, she is Tack's (the Pres of Chaos MC) daughter so is off limits to his brothers (and she is underage as well). Tab studies, gets good grades but can play carelessly so the "boys" of Chaos must rescue her once in a while. When Tab is 19, Shy gets the "shout out" to help Tab - when he does he gives her a harsh lesson hoping she will clean up her act or she will end up like the 2 club girls in his bed. Tab is very hurt and purposely avoids Shy from then on and meets a wonderful guy and gets engaged. Lives are lived by both until they meet up again and become close platonic friends and learn to trust and love each other again - years go by before they finally reach their destination. As I said before, I so love this book the affection and sweetness between them is wonderful. I will be reading Hop's book next but he was never my fave (because of what happened with Tyra in Motorcycle Man0. Cannot wait for Landon and especially Rush's story - I have loved level-headed Rush since Motorcycle Man.

Tabby and Shy's story
After reading motorcycle man, i automatically looked this up. I had to know Tack's daughter's tabby story! And it worked for me, too! I find i like how Ms Ashley turns and mixes her ingredients for these memorable books. Worth the while and just for the meantime, i am buying Hop's story Chaos/fire to continue enjoying this family for a while more!
