Can it be used with none of the LED lights on?

What is the best way to clean the inside. I noticed on the top of the lid on the inside a spot developing from using oils.

A mixture of white vinegar & lemon (grapefruit or orange) essential oil diffused on high mist for 15 - 20 min, then take it apart & use a degreasing dish soap (I use Palmolive with oxy clean) & sponge to wash everything off & out. Don't fill to max line with the white vinegar/EO mixture, depending on the size of diffuser, you only want about 1 cup of vinegar

Does anyone know if the mist is thick or not? How large a room it works?
