It is a safety precaution so if the nozzle opens by accident the air will not immediately come out, making the float useless.The swimming seat has to be inflated in a few parts, which is an additional safety precaution, in case the air will come out in one part for some reason (due to puncture), it will still be enough air in it to make it usable.I do have to say that I did find inflating and deflating of the baby seat a little bit annoying and difficult, but maybe just cause I am not used to it, but all in all, I think its a great item to get especially if you would like to have some fun with your baby in water during summer.

A really fun float that we used for our 1 year old on our first family pool holiday. It was easy to inflate and to strap her into. The sun shade is a great benefit so we didn't have to worry about her being exposed while swimming around. nice design and easy to pack away after use

Easy and clear visual Instructions for assembly are are the back on the box.It is very easy to inflate, a pump is provided which does a very good job, there are several sections to do in order - these are all marked by numbers so there’s no future worries if the box is lost or damaged. The canopy just hooks on once the shark’s body and tail is inflated. The tail is separate and also hooks on.There is a securing string with a plastic toggle, there are no instructions for threading this, I presume the string is thread from either side into the toggle then tied with the knot in the middle but this makes the very small loop on the end face the wrong way.A QR code for full assembly is on the box, I had a look and it actually leads to a mobile phone app making it no use at all and misleading.Age range can be confusing:The box age is 3 Months - 6 years old. The age printed on the shark is 1 year - 4 years old. A tick on the side of the box indicated the one I received is the large size.My grandson is 3 months and needed the smaller one, even with the adjustable fittings it is just too loose on him for now, as it only just fits in the bath (without the canopy) we can get him used to it before a family visit to the beach next year.The shark feels sturdy and floats very well, it does not fell like it will pop or puncture too easily making it good value for money. As well as adjustable shoulder straps there are 2 inflatable cushions for a secure and comfortable fit.The 1-4 years age printed on the actual shark looks realistic, all children are different sizes but it is simply too big for 3 months and too small for 6 years as suggested in the box. Just double check the size when ordering.

I tested this swimming float out on my 20-month-old toddler. It's a cute shark design, that has three small bells underneath to help keep the baby happy.The baby/toddler goes on their tummy to help aid in learning how to swim. With the shark head being a soft rest for their chest. There are adjustable comfy straps so you can get a snug fit. Sadly though my toddler didn't like being strapped in and I guess in his little head stuck/ trapped to this inflatable. Perhaps something to think about how your baby/ toddler will cope with it.It comes with a spf 50 sun canopy that's detachable. Very useful when out in the sun, although due to the mesh for air flow on either side a lot of sun still shone on my toddler.Finally, it was simple and easy to blow up. It even comes with a mini pump.Would be a great little addition for any swim-loving babies/toddlers just sadly not mine yet.

Mein acht Monate alter Sohn liebt diesen Schwimmreifen einfach, wir waren bisher schon zweimal damit im Schwimmbad und man sieht meinem Sohn echt immer die Freude ins Gesicht geschrieben, weil er sich so wohl fühlt :)
