At first, I thought this toy was junk because my granddaughters couldn’t figure it out and I didn’t seem to be able to figure it out. I thought it was one of those magnetic toys that you take the little magnetic stick and make faces on them or mustaches and beards and all that stuff that’s what I thought that toy was on the line of. But my granddaughters ended up, figuring out how to move the beads around in there and have now been playing with it for two days

The beads were hard to move around and it was near impossible to add a picture as advertised. My 5-year-old daughter could not use her fingers or the stylus to move the beads. There was not enough gel to allow them to move easily- even when I tried it. It says "perfect for hours of play on long car or plane rides!" It also says "swap out the backgrounds with other emoji backer cards, or print out images at home to doodle on!" but it was very difficult to add pictures to the back. I had hoped this would be a fun mess-free activity for a car trip but it did not work. Waste of money!

We got this for 3 and 4 yr. olds. The beads are a little tricky to move around. They don't push easily so it's harder for our younger children to make pictures. Better enjoyed by older kids. The price is a bit steep for what you get, too. We liked the DoodleJamz Jelly Board filled with gel better than the DoodleJamz Jelly Pics board filled with beads.

I was skeptical in this purchase because my son is very particular with toys he will play with, but he loves squishy toys especially when they are visually stimulating. This was actually really awesome for him and he loves sitting down with this one. It's not too difficult or too easy to move around the beads, which is perfect for keeping his attention. If it's too easy he will get board of it quickly. I do wish there was just a bit more gel in it just to add more of a squishy sensory touch to it.

After seeing an ad or video for these, I found them online and bought one for my daughter to take to soccer tournaments knowing she gets bored quickly. I think this is a fun little toy and great for road trips, plane rides, and sibling activities. It allows kids to be creative and have a little fun. Plus it builds motor skills. I plan on adding this to our gift repertoire for kids anywhere from 3-8 in our family.
