Good quality, fair price
Unconventional use. We put these on our low window sills where our 80lb dog keeps jumping on them while barking at whatever wanders through our yard, dogs, cats and geese. Hasn't happened since we put these down. 4 stars because they do have a smell but not horrible. Arrived quickly, fair price.

installer one
The tape provided with the units are really only to help install. You need a good glue to hold them to the steps or need staples to secure them.

High quality rubber stair treads- they do require some thought for installation
I ordered two sets of 5 treads and one 3 pack for my attic. I did trim the front edge of the treads so that they did not hang over the edge of the stairs- a trip hazzard in my opinion. I used a T sqaure and a very sharp box cutter to remove the extra materials. Once I got the hang of it it was pretty easy.Where I had issues was the attachment methods. Here is what I did.1). Clean the wood steps and sand hogh spots2). Measure the lenght of the actual stair minus the length of the rubber treads and divide the answer by 2 so that you center the rubber tread.3). Place the rubber tread on the stair and mark all four corners/edges with a pencil4). Cut the supplied 3M adhesive strips to fit the front of the wood stairs and I also placed one half of a 3m strip in the right and left rear corners going along the long dimension of the stairs. This helps to hold the tread down.5). Take a 3m strip and cut it on the long length into four even-width pieces. These should be about .5" wide. Apply these to the front edge of the stairs.6) Apply a good construction adhesive to the top of the stairs in an X pattern starting from the front corner diagonally across to the right top corner. Repeat for the right front to top left. Fill in the opne areas with a .25" wide bead of adhesive.7). Reniove the top layer of each of the 3M adhesives and discard them8) Place the rubber tread at your marks on the stairs and smooth the front edge onto the glue strips.9). Push pn the top of the tread in all corness and across the tread from front to rear and frm left to right to spread the adhesive.10) I used brown 17g x 1" panel nails to help secure the tread. I nailed 5 places on each front piece and then one in each corner on the horizontal surface plus 1 on the back edge in the middle. A total of 10 nails for my applicationSounds like a lot of work but the instruction leaves a lot to be desired so this was my plan and it worked.See the picture for the final product. Took me three hours to do 15 treads including prep, design, trimming and installation.

Rubber mat
Fits nice, the front I had to nail down from keeping it coming up. But for the most part works as described.
