Great camera for the $$
This is a good action camera. With that said it is not as good as the top of the like DJI or GoPro but (at 1/3 the cost) it's darn close. It has good image quality on playback. The back screen on mine is a little fuzzy (but it could be my older glass covered eyes) but all video plays well on the laptop. It has very good image stabilization, and there are lots of tweek in camera that help you get the best out of it. The batteries are long lasting (3-4 hrs so far), seem easy to get extra batteries on Amazon and it comes with a remote (super handy) and lots of mounting options. I have a 3 DJI action cameras (because I like the front screen) and 2 GoPros. This camera is well worth the money and provides just as a little less image quality. The built in waterproofing is a bonus, and they even give you a plastic dive/underwater housing for it. Total deal for the $$.

No case needed...great addition to my other cameras
I've purchased 3 Wolfang action cameras; GA100, GA300 and this most recent purchase GA420. I feel Wolfang is a great quality/value combination. This camera line fills my need and my budget. If you're looking to dip your toe in and have an easy to use entry level action camera, start with the GA100. It has most of what you need to get a feel for how you might use this type of camera. I was impressed, and I still use the GA100 if I'm using multiple cameras while recording. My second camera was the GA300 and I really like that it uses the same batteries as the GA100, has touchscreen and the external microphone was improved and software was upgraded with wind noise reduction mode and better image stabilization. Satisfied with my 1st two Wolfang cameras, I decided to add another to give me a 3rd viewpoint on my adventure rides. If you want to buy just one camera and are willing to spend just a little more, I suggest going with the GA420. This is now my primary action camera (helmet cam when riding/chest mount or stick-cam when hiking). The construction of the camera is more robust (all metal case). The battery is more robust - 2hr/battery recording time right out of the box (50%+ more). The external microphone is important to me as I use the cam attached to a boom mic inside my helmet. The audio is very clear with no wind noise. I like that I can now use the camera without the waterproof case. I still have to plug in the external mic, so there is some exposure...but greatly reduced due to the sealed camera construction. I have not had issues with my other Wolfang cameras, however I can tell this camera (GA420) has sturdier construction. It is heavier. Has a metal case and sealed access doors to the battery/card and jack ports. The other major feature is the front facing screen. I can see how this will be very useful to ensure an in-frame shot when recording while facing the camera. I really like the WiFi/mobile app. I use it when initially setting up the cameras to make sure I have the camera properly positioned. I occasionally use the app to start and stop the recording and check short test shots before setting out on an hour ride/recording session. I usually have the WiFi turned off during rides to save on battery life. During a day's Adventure Recording, I usually will go through 2 or 3 sets of batteries so the increased battery time on the 420 is great...the trade off is that the batteries are not interchangeable with the GA100 and 300. No big issue as a charger and 3 batteries can be purchased separately for about $20. I'm not a video expert, so I'm not the one to say the video quality is "such and such"...but for me (the average Joe), it looks great and I haven't been disappointed with the video qualify. I've played around with some of the video adjustments you can make, but I usually use the "auto" mode or default settings. The next upgrade I'd like to see Wolfang add is Telemetry(GPS/Altitude) overlays and Bluetooth mic capability...that would be a fun addition. I'm currently getting the Telemetry by using a 3rd party phone app.

High resolution, ok videos
I bought the Wolfang 420 after side by side comparisons with the Akaso Brave 6 plus. The Akaso shoots smoother and better looking video during active motion such as walking or running but the Wolfang is generally better with overall sharpness, especially close to the camera. The videos from the Wolfang 420 look very good when shot on a tripod or when camera motion is smooth and well controlled. The Wolfang is waterproof and the audio is good without the remote mic and will be suitable for fishing, water sports and wet weather. For a dry weather action camera, the Akaso Brave 6 plus would be my choice. The Wolfang 420 does have some glitches, the stability function sometimes vanishes from the menu and it requires a reboot before it shows up again (reset camera to default settings). The touch screen is very sensitive and it is easy to accidentally switch to photo mode (single shot) while trying to shoot video. The shutter button and power button take a fair amount of pressure to activate which can be difficult with gloves on or cold hands. Generally the controls are good but limited, EV adjustments are in full +1,+2 or -1,-2 stop increments, half stop would have been better. Time lapse settings are good, ISO settings from 100 to 3200 and auto but the video quality suffers in low light. High speed-slomo shooting is up to 240 fps at 720p resolution and looks ok (no EIS) and up to 120 fps at 720p with image stabilizer on. I'd like to see support for extra rubber lens covers ( I lost mine already), their battery charging kit is currently unavailable (1/23), and improved electronic image stability would be great if possible with a firmware update.

The Wolfang GA420 gives you high quality at a friendly price point.
I have been using the Wolfang GA420 Action Camera 4k for 16 months. It is well built and easy to use. The picture and video quality is excellent. I have used it for street vlogging. It also features a webcam setting which works quite well. I have the Wolfang floating grip as part of a bundle I received. The camera has never overheated. I would not hesitate to recommend this action camera.

Encore merci ! 😉

My first delve into the world of action cameras so I have no previous experience. I looked long and hard at the GoPro 11 but simply couldn't justify the price. The camera itself is tiny, feels weighty in the hand and gives the impression of being well built. I downloaded the app and paired it easily enough. I tried to download the first attempts of footage to my macbook but no matter what I tried it simply would not find the device. Trying to review the footage on the rear screen I find its just too small to give much of an idea. Just got back from a week in Cornwall so have used the camera a bit more, also fired up an old windows surface which found the device immediately.. Having now reviewed the footage I can say I'm surprised how good it actually is. I've unknowingly shot everything in in wide angle so the horizon has the annoying fisheye look. The photos are clear and vibrant but zooming in they show a slight lack of detail. The internal mic suffers from wind noise quite badly, the EIS works quite well smoothing out the bumps on a bike ride. I shot everything in 4k 30fps as other reviews claim the 60fps degrades the image. It also works pretty well underwater with no issues. There are a load of bits for attachments most of which I probably will never use but simply having them is a real bonus. I feel the cost is the biggest bonus of this camera. I purchased the camera, 128gb extreme card, extending selfie stick and a carry case for only £10 over the price of the brave 7. Be careful to look after the rubber lens cap as its very easy to loose and a nightmare to replace! Overall this is a competent little camera at a very reasonable price, the fact its waterproof without a case is a big plus. A waterproof case is supplied for the scuba divers. The interface is relatively simple to use, the image quality will be more than acceptable for the majority of users. Be aware of wind noise, the supplied external mic may be better. I didn't try it as I used above and underwater shots at the beach and with the external mic connected its no longer waterproof. It comes with lots of attachments which should get anyone started. You will need an sd card, get one fast enough to cope with the 4k recording and grab a selfie stick as its much easier to use than holding a tiny camera.
