We loved the Bush desk with Hutch
We loved the Bush desk with Hutch. It met the need of our Accounting Supervisor very nicely. Due to the amount of paperwork in Accounting, it helped make the office much neater with the extra above cabinets.

Functionality meets style at the intersection of budget
This is a big, heavy desk. It has tons of storage space and tons of surface area, as you can see from the photo. Something you can't see is how the doors work: they overhang the storage cubbies that are underneath by a couple of inches, and that's why there aren't any handles - you open them by pulling on them from the bottom. This also means that the full height of the cubby is blocked by this overhang. You can put things in them that are the full height of the cubby but only if you open the door first. At a later date I may decide to install some cabinet pulls on these doors. The instructions say you need 2 people to assemble the desk, but I did it solo without any problems, just make sure you have a lot of extra room for the assembly. The only step I needed a buddy for was lifting the assembled hutch into place on the desk. I've also seen some dings on the assembly instructions, but I found them to be clear and complete, including QR codes to helpful videos at key steps (a very nice touch). The quality is, for a HDF desk, outstanding. You will find edges that are 'rough' looking (exacerbated for me because I chose the dark mocha cherry finish), so some edges show the lighter colored material that is underneath just a bit. A quick touch up with a furniture marker hides this very well. As you can see from the photo I added a second file cabinet, which makes the maneuver space for the office chair just a bit tight, but was worth it for the extra storage space in my opinion. Your milage may vary. The hutch attaches to the desk using an L bracket on each end, with 2 screws into the desk and 2 screws into the hutch. I was a little surprised there wasn't a cam pin or two on each end as well, but with the included wall anchor (small eyelet bracket screwed into the wall, small eyelet bracket screwed into the top of the hutch, connected with a heavy-duty zip tie) it seems quite sturdy and secure. I chose to install 2 ten-outlet power strips on the underside of the desk top to keep the cords neat, and I can tell you this material is quite dense. I pre-drilled mounting holes and the screws still went in quite tight. I consider this a good sign. I also drilled 2 two-inch grommet holes, one on the privacy panel of the desk and one on the privacy panel of the return, so I could pass cords through to the mounted power strips. It took a couple of minutes to get the blade all the way through due to the dense material. Would I buy this desk again? Without hesitation.

Needs electric design work.
Nice furniture. The ability to connect electric needs major design work for a modern desk setup.
