I needed an exercise mat that could be configured so that I could do the type of exercising to music that involves moving side to side and backwards and forward. I also wanted a mat that I could store when not in use. Most importantly, I needed a very thick, dense mat that would reduce impact on my knees and feet. This mat filled all check boxes. It assembles very quickly and easily and stores out of sight behind a loveseat in the box it came in. The thickness and density were all that I hoped for, and I have plenty of room to move to my exercise videos. I was concerned this might be the kind of material that never loses its chemical smell, but this mat only had a faint smell when first taken out of the box that dissipated in little time. I highly recommend this exercise mat.

It's hard to write a product review when the delivery is 5 days and maybe more. I think Amazon does an amazing job with logistics but 5 days. Somebody should get demoted or the seller should be cancelled from selling on Amazon. If it's trucking company they should be penalized for two months for poor performance. Nothing will be done unfortunately. Update I change to 5 stars. I don't know how to leave a picture. My tracking data told me about 9!21 but the package came on 9/17 only 1 day late. The tracking data told me out for delivery yet the next data was still out of state at a distribution center. I wasn't sure what was happening. I had a 260 pound station bike in the middle of the living room ready for gym pads move to a permanent location. When I got the Matt's the were great. They looked good, performed well and there was good value for the money. I try to understand the logistics. Most of my merchandise comes on time in good shape.

​These foam mats are excellent. They lock together seamlessly and are very easy to install. I was especially impressed by the border pieces; I was able to connect the giant pile of unused edge strips to fill the gaps around the perimeter, allowing the mats to lay perfectly flush against the walls for a clean, professional finish. We purchased two sets and it was enough for our house project. We will get more for our future projects. These can be cut into any shape for custom layouts, with a regular pair of sharp scissors and strong hands. We noticed a rubber/chemical like smell the first day after install but it faded quickly and now it doesn't smell like anything. The surface cleans up nicely if you spill something on them and can be easily lifted/separated for further under cleaning. It also helps with sound deadening.

These mats serve their purpose and were good enough for what I needed them for. My parents actually have the same ones in their home gym and have had them for about three years with moderate use, and they’ve held up well. They interlock nicely, were extremely easy to put together and are a fair quality. They are not extremely heavy duty, more like a thicker foam, but they are still durable enough for a typical home gym setup. I also appreciated the size, I got the 96sqft coverage .8 thickness it came with 24 squares. I used all 24 to cover my small home gym area. One thing to be mindful of is if you are installing them in an unfinished basement or a new build. I would recommend making sure the floor has been thoroughly swept and mopped first. The mats are black and tend to hold onto dust, so you will notice footprints easily if dust gets tracked onto them.

We recently transformed our basement into a play area for the kids. Concrete is cold and uninviting so we got these mats for the floor. I saw some in Home Depot but they were more expensive and not to mention a lot thinner. My wife told me to check out Amazon instead and that’s where I came across these. You get more bang for your buck and they’re thicker. We got several packs in blue and it definitely livens things up. It’s very easy to set up, you just fit all the pieces together. There were a few corners that had to be trimmed but that wasn’t a big deal at all. We got the entire floor done in less than 30 minutes. All in all, a very good product. It does get dirty though and since our son likes sitting and playing on the floor, we make an effort to clean the mats regularly. We usually start by vacuuming the area, then we use a cleaner. We have a mop with a microfiber pad and that works great at accumulating all the gunk. The head swivels too so we can easily clean the corners and edges. It depends on our schedule but we usually mop it with cleaner every 2-3 days. Sometimes, if there’s just a small mess we’ll use plain water. Pros: 1) The foam mats don’t have any noticeable smell even when you take it out of the packaging. It was something that we were worried about at first but now it seems like that was unnecessary. 2) You can trim the mats easily with a pair of scissors. That’s what we did near the door since it needed a gap in order to close. You can probably also use a utility knife or something similar…the foam material isn’t that hard to cut through at all. 3) I kind of mentioned this earlier but these mats are much more affordable than what you can find in stores. We spent less than $50 for the basement area and that’s a deal. 4) They serve as a great insulator. Our son likes to run around and jump and these mats do a great job of absorbing it all. I’m so glad I didn’t go with the thinner ones from Home Depot. 5) We didn’t do this but you can easily create a checkered pattern if you purchase the mat in two colors. 6) The foam mats are very soft and comfortable to walk and play on. Cons: 1) The mats kind of get slippery if you’re wearing socks so we always tell our son to take them off before playing. Better safe than be sorry… 2) You have to play with the foam pieces a bit to line them up exactly the way you want for edges. 3) Sometimes the pieces will come apart when our son is running up and down. He actually fell down once beacuse of that but luckily he took it with stride. Now we always make sure to watch him when he’s playing. 4) There was a layer of dust/debris on the foam mats out of the packaging so we had to wipe them all down with a bit of water and soap before putting them together. I would recommend that you do the same.

This item has been great, works perfectly for what I needed it for, and is a great value for the cost. We originally received the wrong item, but the company was great to work with and sent us the correct item. Very happy with our purchase!

These were just what I needed. They are well made and easy to use. Very happy with my purchase.

These are great. I've ordered both this grey and the blue ones. because I'm old and have sensitive feet I flipped them over and use them on my patio (the points hurt my bare feet). Over the time I've had them, 1st order about 2 yrs ago or so, they have held up great. This year we are having extreme temps (hovering in the 115 range --- my plastic sprinkler melted) and for the 1st time my feet want to stick to the dry mats. Once my dog is playing in the water the mats are cooled down enough no more sticking. ... but again, they are holding up wonderfully.
