I purchased this cable because my old USB to type C cable died on me. I used the old cable for one purpose, to connect my phone to my truck for Android Auto. The old cable was generic, but it worked. For reference, I have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. My Truck is a 2017 Chevy Suburban. Lately, Android Auto would work sporadically. I would have to disconnect and reconnect the cable and just pray that would do the trick. It usually would work, until a few weeks ago. No matter how much playing with the cables I did, I couldn't get it to work again. I decided to do some research and what I was able to glean from everything I read was that cable quality matters. Does work for Android Auto, and can plug into my S10 Plus properly when using a crush proof cover (Juggernaut Case Impact). Disconnects Waze infrequently, hence why I bought it.
