Drain shaft was to short for my white 15-YO Coleman cooler
It was shorter than my original Coleman cooler drain shaft, I disgusted the short drain and kept the original drain in place. The original plastic plug had broken and was lost, The new plug cap in your kit fit the old drain hole, and I discarded the other new parts.

Just what I needed for my Coleman Quick Serve 40, Model 5235, 5236
My Coleman QuickServe 40 cooler has been with me for 25 plus years. It's a great cooler. On the last camping trip, the drain plug finally broke off the hinge. The tabs on the original had long ago broken off, but the plug was still attached to the hinge.Thought about just trashing the cooler, but I first looked on Amazon and found a possible replacement drain plug. This replacement doesn't seem very heavy duty and I don't expect that it will last very long. Time will tell.The gasket is more like a washer as you can see in the product image. Instead of using that, I reused the original Coleman gasket, as it was more like a grommet in how it fits to the inside wall of the cooler. The original Coleman gasket has a lip that covers both the inside and outside of the inside cooler wall, if that description makes any sense?This came with no instructions, but it was easy enough to attach. I centered the replacement then hand tightened. I then used a pair of pliers on the inside piece, not to grab and turn the plastic, but to use as something to press on the plastic nubs you see on the image, and those also found on the original. Then you can snug up the replacement valve assembly so it does not move or twist.As a test, I filled the cooler with water and let it sit overnight, no leaks.Was it worth the $10.00? Well is was cheaper than buying another large cooler. Essentially it is a small piece of plastic with a flexible gasket. So no 5 star rating.Also, for the Usamate folks, you should fix the typos in your product description.
