A steal for the money! Love them!
My first foutain pen is the Zebra V-301. I still have it but the cap does not snap any more to the tail of the pen. This makes if unconfortable to use at times, remember the cap on the tail is to help with the writing experience, even for these cheap ones. So, what I like about these fountain pens is that the cap still snaps to the front end, but is a compresion fit to the tail end of the pen. I don't see it failing like my Zebra fountain pen. What I also like is the fine nib, I am a lefty writter so, the fine nib is a super plus, a necessity for me. Being a lefty with fountain pens you have to learn to be graceful when writting, and these are some smooth writting fountain pens for the price. These pens write just as nice as my MONTEVERDE fountain pen.I love them as they are, but I still like to suggest some medium nib choices too. Thanks Ooly!! :-)

great gift for that budding writer
These were purchased as a gift to a young writer who wanted to use a fountain pen. She loves the colors and the ink cartridges are replacable.

Soft playful colors for little notes.
I’ve been using affordable fountain pens for at least 15 years now. Of course, I’ve my high-end, old-fashioned fountain pens but since I’m a writer a need something ready to go in a daily basis. Therefore, a disposable good quality blue or black pen usually is my first choice. I bought these Ooly pens because I was drawn to the cheerfulness and variety of their colors. “Varsity” non-refillable fountain pens are my favorites and the brand do handle assorted colors too. However, the Ooly’s looked like cotton candy and I wanted them for making notes in my daily planner, even though I was aware they might require some work beforehand. They made the cut! Nevertheless, it has to be pointed out that you’ve to prepare the cartridge to get the ink flowing when you use them for the first time. It takes a few minutes to open the pen, turn the cartridge upside down and get the ink flowing into the steel nib. So, if you’re new to ink cartridges you may think the pens are somehow flawed. They’re not. The colors are a beauty, soft and playful. Nonetheless, the writing experience isn’t smooth nor expressive as the “Varsity’s”. The Ooly ‘s may serve the little note writing purpose but they won’t stand for a journaling writing job.

Really sad these don’t work
I bought these to help my daughter enjoy her handwriting homework more, but they’re awful. If they aren’t leaking all over her hands, they’re scratching up the paper and not distributing any ink. Makes for some ugly worksheets! This is not a situation of a kid misusing them, I have tried them too and they’re so bad.

Very Pretty, OK quality
They’re ok. Mine all work but some are certainly better than others. The blue is great, writes well enough to use as an every day pen for quick writing. The pink and red are next. The other colors are very pretty they just don’t flow as nicely. I believe it’s the ink more than the pen. I think the pens are of good quality for the cost. They’ll all work well for use in a planner or on a calendar as well as for sketching. I’m likely going to get black and blue refills to use in the super cute soft finished bodies.

Wonderful Pens
So I don't like all the colors. I think it is odd that I would grade papers with some of the colors. I would buy an entire page of the blue or red or green.I am a fan of fountain pens and these guys are a fantastic buy for the price and the quality of the pen. They write smooth and the ink dries super fast. Couldn't be happier. And I guess getting a comment on a submitted paper that says "resubmit" written in pretty coral or lavender isn't too awful.

Really comfortable, fantastic value
I'v got at least 30 fountain pens of varying age and quality, and this one has immediately shot up to the top of my list. For my taste, the nib is just right. It has enough give to make it comfortable, but not enough to make it sloppy. The barrel is smooth and nicely sized for an average hand. The finger grip is comfortable. The lid snaps shut firmly, the parts screw together securely, and the ink hasn't leaked even a little bit. While I have many bottles of ink, I've been using the OOLY cartridges as well, and the ink is good too. Bright, opaque, smooth - looks good on the page. The only thing to bear in mind is that this is an inexpensive pen. If you were hoping for a tortoise-shell finish with a high end nib, you probably want to look above this price point. The plastic is nice, shiny and smooth, but it is plastic. It could be snapped in half without a ton of effort. It's under $10!If you're new to fountain pens, this is a nice one to start with. If you find they are not for you, then at least you tried a decent one and didn't spend a lot of money. If you want a pen to use everyday and not worry about wear and tear, this one isn't very delicate and is inexpensive to replace.Highly recommend.

Hard to beat for the price
As fountain pens go, this is not fancy, but it's functional and writes as smoothly as any fountain pen I've ever used.If you want a fountain pen that is function over form, this is probably worth a buy.

dried up ink on delivery ???
I've bought this pen in stores before so I know how to insert the cartridge and how its supposed to write. This pen did not dispense a single drop of ink. I have to assume the ink is ancient and all dried up. Super disappointed especially cuz I bought two in good faith. I've tried warming it up, shaking it etc but it does not write. Hoping I can return them, we'll see.

Surprisingly good
If it is left a week, requires running a bit of water over the nib then blotting/writing until it starts running again - at least for the black I got. I see they doubled the price though, which is too bad. It is also good for that not so good paper which confounds ball point pens.
