Excellent accessible book on how our world works
Great book, bits of it our (unsurprisingly) US centric but enjoyed reading it with our daughter. Very well explained and covers a lot of ground. Compliments the youtube channel well but is also an excellent standalone publication.

A great and I think important book for everyone
Every one should have a copy of this book. We all take our infrastructure for granted too much. This book gives a good idea at what it takes to make our lives run smoothly. It will make any reader much more appreciative of the built world around them and the people who put it there.

It's like "How it's made" but for infrastructure!
As a civil engineering student, this is a really interesting read. However, if you're just a person who likes to know how the built environment works, this book is sure to peak your interest nonetheless.

Fascinating read
A fascinating read, perfect for browsing through whilst having your lunch. Even if you are based in another country, the descriptions are a great read. The illustrations and writing style is both detailed yet also entertaining. I hope Grady releases another book!

Inspire the next generation
Well written, informative, US centric (unsurprisingly) but still useful. Great idea to help the budding engineers of the world see it more clearly.

Fascinating book, very well researched and written
I love this book, fascinating for everyone from a seasoned engineer to my 3-year-old. Grady's style is friendly and technical enough not to be patronising but basic enough that it's understandable.

Interessante Einblicke, schön bebildert, teils etwas US zentrisch
