This is the second order I've placed for these mouth guards. I've been using them for a few years now, after my hygienist finally talked me into it. I liked the idea that these were thin. I couldn't stand the thought of a big, bulky guard in my mouth. The first time you follow the process can be a bit awkward, but the next times are much easier. I'm attaching pictures of my current set up for doing this. I used to boil water in a pan, now just use a small Pyrex container and microwave the water. The real trick is to remove the guard before the sides meld together. If you manage to do that, and you don't think you got the fit right the first time. You can reheat your water if necessary and dunk and try again. Even if you ruin a guard while trying to figure things out, that's all right. You have more. I tend to replace these about once a year. You can see how yellow they eventually get. This current order is the first time I got any of the denture tablets, so that will definitely help restore the color. I'll probably use one of those about 6 months in. I keep my guard in my bedside drawer so that if I accidentally start off without it, I can easily reach over and pop it in. I rarely forget anymore. I find the guard really comfortable and, oddly, comforting. Ha!

The fact that this mouth guard is made in the U.S. and the customer service is excellent was the biggest reason for my buying them for my teeth "clenching." The mouth guard was easy to fit - simply repeating the hot water then ice water sequence and forming it properly to my teeth and mouth took a little time and patience but the results were worth the time and little effort. The Doctor is HANDS ON and not only provides excellent instructions but also encouragement.The first go-round was still a little large for my mouth as it made the inside of my cheek a little swollen, especially using these for the first time ever. But with some snipping away with scissors and a little sanding down and washing well, the fit is perfect. It takes time, a little effort and patience to get the fit just right but I know these are safe to use, and once again, the customer service is excellent. You will likely not get that from any other mouth guard product here. The only other alternative is to pay a huge price through a dentist....and in these times...that is not feasible for many people. These will do just as well as any dentist could provide.I highly recommend Pro Dental Mouth Guards.

Although they were very cushiony and can support your teeth from grinding with one another. They are extremely big and it's not one size fits all. So unless you have a wide archway with your teeth I do not recommend

Don't waste your time or money! Product does not work, will not mold. I followed the instructions word for word! And to boot the molds had scratches on them right out of the package.After many failed attempts, I decided to just pay the expense of having my dentist do one for me.I am a moderate night time teeth grinder and will not risk using a faulty, inferior product.If I could, I would give it zero stars.

So far so good. Easy enough to mold... I followed the instructions and after doing steps 6/7 a couple of times (dipping back in the hot water, squishing the walls in a little and then cold water) I have a nice tight fit - kind of snaps on. It's not the thin shell that the dentist would make for my night grinding, but given the price difference... um... about $350, I'll give it a shot. Now... if I can sleep with anything in my mouth remains to be seen.Why 4 stars? Really just the all around thickness of the plastic compared to dentist. It's definitely thinner than 'boil to fit' sports guard, but still thicker than I would like. Instructions were great, and I like that you get 4 trays in the package.

Bought 2 kits - one for me, one for husband. We followed the instructions for fitting (following the video makes the process much less daunting than by just reading the included written instructions). I had so-so results for the first night with a somewhat loose fit. Next morning, reheated & fitted again. That tightened things up & it fits great now. I love the fact that I can keep reheating it to get it just right.Husband's process not as smooth. He messed up & the first mouthpiece ended up getting stuck to the side of the pot for a second & it was pretty well rendered unusable. Heated a second piece & it just isn't fitting him comfortably. We'll see if he wants to try again, but his patience for fiddling with things just isn't so high.We both have slightly janky teeth (crooked, crowded) so I didn't expect fantastic results. Turns out that it works well for me & helps immensely with my grinding. Will update for husband if/when he tries again...I really hope he does.

I grind my teeth and clench my jaw while I sleep, but I have an overactive gag reflex, which makes wearing most night guards impossible. I didn't have high hopes for this one, honestly, because I have tried so many guards in the past, but the constant jaw pain was getting to be too much to bear. This kit comes with very detailed instructions on how to mold the trays and how to get a comfortable fit. I found the quick process very easy to do. The first night was a tiny bit uncomfortable as I learned to sleep with a hunky of plastic in my mouth, but the reduced jaw pain the next day made the slight inconvenience worth it. I have slept in it every night since and it helps immensely. I am happy to have more trays to mold when this one wears out and the inclusion of the cleaning tablets and case is a great bonus. I wish I had purchased this three or four years ago!

These work but they're tricky to mold. You have to get it right the first time. The material likes to stick to itself and each time you try to remold it the material shrinks and gets thicker. It also has a very vinyl taste that takes a while to go away and makes me wonder how healthy these can be to use. More expensive ones from the pharmacy don't have that "flavour". Also, the reason I stopped using them is that they aren't easy to clean. Alcohol free mouthwash eats away at the surface and makes them sort of sticky and brushing them roughs up the surface as well.
