Dry in the can and tough to work with. Also, the label was printed upside down, which may indicate there was a quality control issue somewhere down the line. Since that line stopped with me, I won't be buying this stuff again.

The person who said the label was upside down didn't read the directions. It's packaged that way so the oils will be at the top when you open it. It keeps the material plyable...try to use it again.

Having done professional cabinet work all of my life, I've used several different wood fillers. I always go back to Famowood. It's set time is short, (10 min) and it's sand-ability is great. It's a good idea to keep the lid on even while you are puttying because it will dry out quickly. Pour a little lacquer thinner in it and mix it up and you're good to go again. It takes stain well however it's a good idea to buy the shade that is closest to the shade of stain you are going to use. Personally, I've gotten accustomed to using the "Walnut" shade for my dark finishes and "Red Oak" for everything else. That's not cut in stone, just my personal preferences.
