A great double set
The media could not be loaded. This is a great alternative to technic, and at under £10 at the timing of writing this review, it is a huge saving on the vastly more expensive Lego sets. This set allows you to build your choice of two models, either a crane or fuel truck. Both of these models look really good when completed, they also feel sturdy, and should easily withstand the usual bashing a child will give them during playtime.I choose the crane over the fuel truck, so my review is about this model in particular. The build instructions are very similar, with many of the same pieces you will find in Lego sets, they are also relatively easy to follow. This set can be completed by an older child without any issues, but it might be a little difficult to follow for younger builders. A great opportunity for some parent-child build time. The crane has enough moving parts to keep this as a toy that will want to be played with, over a model that sits on a shelf. Although it will look good either way. The crane is extendable, the winch and hook can be raised and lowered, and the crane arm can be swivelled, as well as raised and lowered using the crank handle at the rear. The steering wheel in the drivers cabin, and the control stalks in the cabin for the crane are also moveable. There is probably enough room for a child to place one of their characters in the driving seat, for some extra playability. The remote control feature is a great extra for this set, if a little simple. The controller is not digital, so unfortunately you have limited control over where your build will be going. Forward will send the truck forward, right will send it right, etc. Not a major issue, and probably one a child wouldn’t even notice.Overall, for the money, set options, build quality, and general playability, this is a brilliant set.Guaranteed to keep any buddy builder entertained for many hours.

With the price of fuel these days I thought i'd get my own Tanker Truck 😁
I decided to do the alternative build of this as I already had a crane but needed a fuel tanker & with prices hitting £1.90 a litre who can blame me 😆Everybody is going to compare this to a "Danish Brand" of plastic construction toys .... I'll admit it I am an Original Lego snob ... but i do have some of the other brands available from the far east .Righty then tea break over , lets get to it .... This is a nice little (2 build set) you can pick either the Crane or the Fuel truck. It does have a remote control so you can play with the set afterwards 😉. Unlike lego that uses a power brick this uses a fixed chassis . The steering is not Digital, You push left it goes left, you push right it goes right. There are no increments (Think of early 1970's Radio control cars and you get the idea) It's more of an afterthought to make it more appealing to the younger generation as once it's built you can actually use it instead of it sitting on a shelf. When mine arrived the steering was all cock-eyed but there is a small adjustment lever to the front of the unit to zero it in for straight driving. The instructions were clear & precise with scale charts for some of the multi-length identical pieces. Just lay the piece on top & if it fits it's the right one ! (It saves time later having to dismantle if you use the wrong piece early in the build. The parts are of a good quality plastic, some i have tried in the past have been inferior with lots of flashing & sharp edges & not a great fitment. However these pieces appear sturdy, Have good colouring and 95% of the time fit perfectly where they should with minimal slack.I did have a little struggle getting the two halves of the tanker to align correctly but slow down take your time & it goes together 😉👍🏻Tip: While building the set have a pair of pliers handy .... you might need to remove an incorrectly placed pin 👍🏻There isn't a lot more I can tell you about the set apart from the fact that i was very impressed with the overall set & will not dismantle this to build the crane .... Or something else if my imagination wanders !!!I will be looking at the other sets in this range ....Hope this helps & Go on Build the tanker it's cool !
