Very easy to use on small or large plants, essential to help prevent under/over watering. Much more accurate/reliable than pocking a finger into the compost

Good where the compost isn’t too compacted
This does give an idea of moisture but it’s difficult to get into compacted pots, says not to push too hard or it will damage it.
