CORE+ Pate Adult Canned Wet Cat Food for Indoor Cats, Natural, Protein Rich, Grain Free, Chicken Recipe, 3 oz, Pack of 12 Cans

As my cats are getting older, 12+ years, I need a quality cat food that they like, that isn't too loose or sticky but most importantly, meets their dietary needs for their ages. This product is designed for that and isn't too expensive with the unnecessary hype about being recommended by a vet or having magical ingredients. Cats experiencing renal issues should have less of certain vitamins and miners and this product fits the bill. It also contains quality animal ingredients and not fillers. Yes, younger cats can eat this as I have a 6 year old who loves it so I stand by this product.

We are on a very slow road to weight loss, but I think it is starting to help my big cat, Rudy, shed some weight.All of my cats love this food and flavor, I had no problems at all with anyone being finicky. Unusually, it seems to satisfy and fill them up better than the dry food. I was worried about this because I really did not think a wet food would give him a feeling of being satisfied, but it seems to do the trick! I recently heard it is better to give the cats wet food to help their hydration levels also. For anyone else struggling to get a large cat to lose weight, it takes TIME. It's been about 5 months now on this food and he is down almost 1 pound. The vet said it could take a year for him to lose even 1 pound, so the key is patience. I also no longer "free feed" my pets. They are all on feeding schedules now.

I love/hate this establishment. While they consistently deliver on flavor, the service and presentation leaves much to be desired. What keeps me coming back is FHOOD, I NEED FHOOOD. The flavor profile is excellent, with a lovely mushy consistency that my tiny kitty teeth crave. I think the level of moisture is just right, and I especially love it when they present it on a bed of dry grain-free salmon pellets. Now, onto the presentation. Would some color kill them? I mean, everything in my dish is brown brown brown. A hint of green would be so nice. The size of the portion is meant for weaker cats who don't crave as much FHOOD as I do. Double the portion sizes, please! The service is manageable. In order to be served, one must rub the humans leg as soon as they open the door to the kitchen. Rub vigorously and make sure to stay in front of their feet at all times. Make it hard for them to go anywhere, even if it means your FHOOD will take longer to prepare. You might get a shove by a naked foot, or the occasional cat toe might get stepped on, but prevail and you will be rewarded. Just the other day, my server must have though they were preparing breakfast for someone else because my plate arrived with milk poured over the Wellness Core instead of water. It was divine! But alas, the gastronomic experiment was not repeated, and none of my pleadings have been met with this addition to the menu. My evening meal gets a four star review. If the service and presentation were improved, I would say this establishment deserves a Michelin review!

I can't stand what I read on the labels of most canned cat foods. Take a moment to consider, for instance, what "fish by-products" are. Yes, folks, that's what's left of a fish when you've basically removed anything edible. I don't really want to feed my cats these kinds of things. I definitely don't want to think about them every time I open a can. This stuff has ingredients that seem reasonable for cats (obligate carnivores) to eat: no by-products, wheat gluten, seaweed, corn gluten, "broth," and so on. It doesn't stink when you open the can. If you buy it via subscription, it's one of the cheaper non-revolting cat foods you'll run across—not that it's cheap. My two canned-food eaters obviously enjoy the stuff, even though I mix in some Wellness Core dry food when they're not looking. Keeps the price down a little. My dry-food eater doesn't mind this either, which is unusual. Everybody seems happy, sleek, and healthy.

I have a 10 year old male cat who has eaten nothing but this food his entire life. He has a delicate stomach and doesn't do well with a lot of ingredients. Usually I leave out a 5.5 oz can and he nibbles at it all day and it sustains him and pleases him. However, recently, I gave him a 3 oz can of the same food and man, it was completely different. He seems to enjoy it more and it clearly has a different color and texture. Why am I writing this review .... because something has changed in the 5.5 oz cans, the color is different, almost like it's been overcooked or something. In this last case I received, the cat has refused to eat several of the cans. They don't call them survivors for nothing, they know the difference between something that's going to keep them alive and something that's going to make them sick. And my cat has been throwing up his food more than usual. Wellness, I'm writing this review for you to know that if something has changed those of us whose pets have been eating this food for 10 years ... well, they notice. I know have to pay quadruple the price to feed my 15 lb cat on the small cans which I know he eats. Seems like it's time to start exploring alternatives. For those new to Wellness, I would recommend buying the 3 oz size of this food if that works for you. Portion control is a lot easier that way too, it does have some positives, my experience with Wellness over 10 years has been mostly positive...after all, the cat still eats it after 10 years! I just wanted to make the company aware of these changes that I've noticed in the larger cans as they are noticeable. Thanks.

Friends of our have fed their cats grain-free wet food for a long time. Their cats have amazingly lustrous, shiny coats, and look super healthy. After a month eating this food, our three cats also look much more lustrous and healthy. It's more expensive but I think well worth it. Our cats seem to love the taste too, they're always excited when this wet food is coming. We've just ordered the beef flavor. Update 8.20.15 - The beef flavor doesn't have as much gravy as the chicken or salmon flavor, so I add some water, give the can a stir, and the cats seem to love it. Their favorite seems to be the salmon flavor. This food isn't cheap, but our cats' coats look great. It's a good complement to the dry food.

Don't believe it, when people give this product FIVE STARS!! They haven't stood by to see if it sticks the roof of their mouth or if they can even swallow the food in the first place. This product is the stickiest, gooiest food item I've ever had to deal with. A bit of gravy would make it palatable both for the server as well as the one consuming it. I like the fact that it doesn't contain all the garbage of most of the name brands, but not at three times the financial cost. The product title suggests that it is WET. I would change that to say DAMP at best! What do I now do with 21 cans from a case of 24? I will never purchase this product again!

Excellent my Cat loves the taste. I would not give my cat anything else the only issue is the availability.

As with the chicken one, my cat absolutely loves this grain free food. Gonna keep buying it.
