This cap has a lot of pros, like it's soft, gentle pressure, fits will, and room for a ponytail.However the major drawback that keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars is that within 15 minutes the cap is lukewarm at best. By the time I just start to reap the benefits of the coldness, it's gone.

I am glad I got this for myself, I've used it several times. I bought it in anticipation of getting my latest Covid booster because I usually get horrible headaches after the vaccine. It is actually so cold coming out of the freezer I can't put it on right away or it feels like it's going to freeze my eyeballs haha. I have to let it sit out for a couple minutes before putting it on. It really does help relieve pain a lot for me. It is far superior to just a cold compress or an ice pack, since it wraps around your entire head and face - an interesting sensation that is very soothing. It is so relaxing after I put it on that I usually fall asleep. The interesting thing is that even after it has warmed up, the mild compression sensation on my head and face continues to feel comforting and relaxing. I usually end up sleeping with it on for hours as it acts like a face/eye mask as well. If you suffer severe migraines you may even want to get a second one to switch out as it warms up- it doesn't actually stay super cold for very long, but for me that hasn't been a problem, I get only occasional headaches and this stays cold long enough to relieve it (especially in conjunction with an Advil). I liked it so much I bought another one as a gift for a family member that suffers from migraines.

I have tried several cooling products to using during a migraine attack. As far as "headache hats" go, this is my favorite so far. I like this product because the ice/gel does freeze solid, making the product moldable to your head shape. Also, this product is very stretchy and provides some pressure while wearing, but not uncomfortable pressure. I have never used it for heat treatment, though you can microwave this product and use for that. The company recommends placing this product in the freezer if using for cooling treatment, but that is too cold for me and I found placing it in the refrigerator to provide cooling is plenty. I like this product so much, that I purchased multiple so that I can rotate them in & out of the refrigerator for use during a migraine attack.

I have a small head and this fit a bit tighter than I thought it would. A too tight feeling when managing a migraine or headache unfortunately doesn't help. Even after putting in the freezer it did not stay cold for long. Additionally, a better storage bag would be helpful as it quickly takes on the smells in your freezer!
