We have a blue heeler (aussie cattle dog) who used bells on the door to tell us when he wanted to go outside, but he started using them to try to tell us other things so we got these buttons. He is a smart pup and picks up on things pretty easily. The instructions were helpful in teaching our dog how to use them. He does sometimes get confused, especially if the button get moved around, but we can tell he enjoys being able to tell us exactly what he wants. I docked a star for durability only because sometimes the button will get "stuck" and shout words out when no one is around, but overall we would buy more of these for our guy.

The dog uses them, understand them, and is a good supplement for dog training. Highly recommend using this kind of engagement with your dog if you want to have the smartest dog. The volume is a bit low. I'd want the volume to be higher.

Of all the house dogs, 3 month old Labrador puppy quickly mastered her preferred sequence of "eat eat outside" for her al fresco snack on the porch. She also likes to pick up button "eat" & walk of with it. Sadly, she has no interest in any of the other buttons. The other dogs aren't as motivated (Corgi & Maremma) as they have their own routines but are curious. Time will tell but it is very interesting to try out. I'm the one who is being conditioned and dogs just humor me. One of the buttons noise level is barely a whisper so useless IMHO.

It was missing one of the buttons

I got these for my 9-month old American Stafford shire Terrier. She's very skittish and was afraid of the buttons at first. After some practice using "touch", she became comfortable and used the buttons nearly immediately.The buttons are solid, loud, and the perfect size for the dog. After some use, I'm removing some buttons and look forward to adding some more practical (for us) buttons. Can't recommend enough!As a bonus - I didn't realize how much she wants fresh water. Whenever her bowl is half empty and sat for a while, she uses her button and gulps down fresh water.

It has been really fun teaching my dogs some buttons. I wanted something new to stimulate her mind, and this was a fun way to do that and add communication. The buttons I’ve tried work well so far.

They didn't come with batteries you have to use a screwdriver to open them they take two AAA batteries I really don't understand why they couldn't just run off of One battery they don't even have a recording function. I figured it best I'd need like six batteries to run these but I need 12 they're not included and there's no platform for the buttons to sit on so they're just loose running around the house. I think I'm going to go for one of the sets that's like one giant piece with multiple buttons built into it that doesn't run off of 12 AAA batteries. I wanted something easy that I didn't have to program that I could just start using today but this is actually proving to be way more difficult than just recording them myself.

Came straight out of the box with buttons that do not work. After the tedious work of unscrewing these teeny tiny screws to insert two AAA batteries into each button, 2 out of the 6 are broken. One of which is the “outside” command, the main reason I purchased this. Too much of a hassle to unscrew take out batteries of all working ones, repackage and return. However, I will say the buttons that DO work, the commands are loud and clear which is nice just wish they all came in working condition. Overall, a waste of time and money for me.
