I actually like these rod holders. I bought 2 sets last year. One in use and 1 as a back up. During a tournament, we checked my wahoo spots and i guess the strain was a bit much and popped the welds on one holder then when i chose to troll a diver for yellowfin it broke the other one. So i had to have my crew babysit the 2 rods since they were the only rod holders. Sucky day but all other trolling experiences were good. You on a budget? Get these. Until you can afford better ones. I wont be buying again, but i was glad with how they worked while they did. If you can weld, just repatch it, which i plan to do. But note the metal is very thin.
