Opening the Bidding (The Official Better Bridge Series: Improving Your Judgement, 1)

The book is packed with great information. Unfortunately I had to purchase a new one because the seller’s description didn’t mention the heavy markings on all pages (I bought this book used).

Good and precise information in understanding Bridge play for beginners.

Audrey Grant is always a winner with bridge.

This book was interesting for reading about the Rules of 15 and 20 but, aside from that, was somewhat disappointing. Even tho I'm an experienced player, I expected at least a small number of things to be mentioned either that I didn't know or hadn't correlated but, aside from the Rules mentioned earlier, that didn't happen. I was basically disappointed with the book. If you were a beginner or moving into intermediate territory, it would be a different story. Unfortunately, I bought the book before it was released and didn't have the benefit of ANY reviews or I doubt that I would have bought it.

I just wanted another copy of this excellent teaching book by Audrey Grant. The book itself was in good condition EXCEPT the many full page quizzes all had answers penned in (in pencil so I could erase them but it was very time consuming).

Gave me better insight as to when to open and when its better to pass. Remembering it all will be a challenge though when I'm playing. This book is meant for intermediate players, not for advanced, for whom it is too basic.

Great book if you use SAYC - very well explained with loads of great examples
