A Clever And Tangled Tale!🍎💔😭😳😍🙏🔥💘
A Lovely Slow Burn Romance.🔥💘A 4.25 Star Read.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️A Taste of Poison: A Snow White Retelling (Entangled with Fae)Astrid Snow became a Princess when her Father fell in love and married, the Queen of the Spring Court.😍 She ends up on the run when she finds him dead on the floor from poisoning, the Queen blames her, thinking Astrid killed the love of her life!💔 She runs from the palace and the Spring court. She tries to make a living using her weird mirror magic to become a match maker at the 7 Sins Hotel. She works in the Lust dept but sleeps in the Sloth dept, she isn't selling her body after all!😳Queen Tris sends the Huntsman to track then kill her. She'll release him from his 100 years service to the Alpha Council if he's successful!🙏 He lost his Estate to gambling and because he trusted his fiance, who betrayed him.💔 He lives with the guilt of losing everything his Father built to leave to him, so he can't fathom this Princess killing her own Dad, she deserves to have her heart ripped out!😡This is a new to me author but I'll definitely be reading more! This tale had many twists and turns I didn't expect but I thought were clever. The world building was full and luscious.😍 I really enjoyed their take on the magic of Seelie & Unseelie too, very interesting!😉 The slow but pure fall from enemies to lovers who are in complete love, was blissful.💘 The suspense & detective work that occurred was captivating enough to keep you turning the pages. All in all this is a cracking retelling, and the use of the apple was pure genius!🍎 I enjoyed the overall story and writing. I would definitely recommend this Author and this book. The hardback is STUNNING!🌟Debbie, 1970, UK

An incredibly sweet enemies-to-lovers and by far my favourite Tessonja Odette book to date!
𝓕𝓪𝓬𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼. 𝓕𝓮𝓪𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼. 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮.Astrid Snow was a princess. Now, she's a runaway wanted for murder and reliant on a deadly poison to get through the day.Torben Davenport was the heir of a grand estate. Now, he's the personal Huntsman of the Alpha Council and his only chance to take back his life is to end another's.𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓼𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓘 𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭 𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓫𝓵𝔂 𝓭𝓸 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓐𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓭 𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 𝓲𝓼 𝓯𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓲𝓷 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓱𝓮𝓻.Ahhh, what a great book! Despite being loosely based on the tale of Snow White, I was struck by how original it is and how much I enjoyed it.The medium pace gives just the right balance of character development and action. Astrid and Torben are the strongest characters I've come across for awhile. They have highs, lows, and magic I haven't seen a thousand times before. I absolutely love Astrid's character growth and her magic is the most interesting I've seen.As for the romance, it is to die for. Slow-burn, enemies to lovers, with an incredibly sweet ending (and some spice!).𝓣𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰: 𝓐𝓭𝓭𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓾𝓮𝓼.

Fabulous new snow white retelling
Thank you to the author for this early review copy, pretty much read it in one sitting! Absolutely loved this book. It's set in a fantasy world, but there is something innately believable about the characters that makes it so much easier to feel what they feel as you're reading. For me, this is always the most important part - it doesn't matter if the story is smashing, if you can't believe the characters are living it, it just falls flat for me. Luckily this fabulous book ticks both boxes - awesome character development and great story. The chemistry between Astrid and her Huntsman is hot hot hot!I just really can't get enough of this author's writing.

Another great installment
Thanks to the author for providing an early copy for review. Astrid and Torben have an amazing chemistry. The story was so sweet and heartwarming. I love the clever twist on the fairytale, all the elements are here, but given a completely new life and I'm here for it!

Unique take on Snow White story
I've enjoyed all of Tessonja's Fae Isles books, but I have to admit this one didn't grip me the same way. The story itself is really interesting, with lots of twists that keep you guessing right til the end. I loved the way the secondary plots came together at the end to blend in with the main ending. There were a couple of scenes early in the book which felt a little forced, but the relationship between the main characters came together really well eventually. Just when you think you've predicted the plot, it takes you on a detour and you can't help second guessing. There was a lot of dialogue, and I think that's what let the book down for me, a lot of the big plots where revealed in conversation with the main characters rather than through action and description so it was a little harder to follow. I would still recommend reading this if you have enjoyed the others in this series.
