Installation was easy other then spilling pellets everywhere due to the hooper being full. There was no noticeable difference in heat time or heat production compared to a silicon nitride igniter in my opinion. The only difference I noticed was slightly higher smoke production which may be due to lower temps but I would say the silicon nitride element gets too hot if I were to complain. My stock silicon nitride element lasted 4 months with almost daily use. I have a feeling the studier stainless steel will last just as long if not longer than the brittle silicon nitride.

Seems to work well at lower temps and smoking in my Pitt boss pellet grill.

A couple of weeks ago I smoked a brisket in my PRO Series II 1150PS2, and when I was done, my wife wanted me to grill some corn. I turned the heat up and closed the lid and walked away while I waited for it to come to grill temperature. I got distracted and forgot to check for for a while, and when I came back, I found a raging fire inside the smoker fueled by the brisket drippings and an error message on the control screen. I unplugged the machine and let the fire die out. Last weekend I wanted to use the grill, but it had a temperature probe error. The fire was concentrated right under the temperature probe, so I assumed that it was damaged. I was a bit worried about buying this replacement instead of the OEM one, but it was the only one that I could find that would be delivered quickly. As soon as it arrived, I tested it by plugging it in before installing it and my smoker was happy and started working. Luckily, the smoker was still new enough (one year old) that all of the screws came out easily. It only took a few minutes to take the damaged probe out and install the new one. After everything was reassembled, I tested it out and everything worked perfectly. This probe fit perfectly, looks identical to the original one, performs just as well as the original one, and it was delivered quickly. I’m very happy that my smoker is back in service.

Work great

Super easy and quick to install. There are videos out there to show you how to install this temp probe. I have used this for a few months now and it is still working great. Took 15 minutes to install and the reason I bought this was because my pit boss would get to 125 degrees and error out. This probe fixed my issue.

Since this came in a 2 pack, we used one and switched it out...worked fine. Now that it was time to switch it again bc it went out recently, we used the 2nd one and for some reason, it would work just enough to get our smoker going then it kicks the circuit breaker. No matter what outlet we plug the smoker in, it would kick the breaker. Not sure if it was a defect or what but it 's frustrating. Definitely have to buy another pack, most likely from a different brand.
