I love Stovetop Stuffing.

Once a year, at Thanksgiving, I still do the traditional southern-style cornbread dressing from scratch. That process begins a week ahead of time by baking several trays of cornbread and then letting them dry out appropriately, so it isn't something I have the time or energy to take on more often. Plus, it keeps this event SPECIAL. The rest of the year, we use the much easier and almost as good StoveTop stuffing. I usually still sweat some chopped onions and celery for "crunch" that is otherwise missing, and use broth or bullion instead of water for more flavor. I might add spices like sage, parsley or garlic, just depends on my mood and what is on hand. One of my favorite ways to prepare this is make it up with about 1/3 more liquid than the box specifies, then combine cut up pieces of meat leftover from a rotisserie chicken, pour into a casserole dish and bake about 15-20 minutes at 375-400 degrees. Served with some cranberry sauce, it is like a mini Thanksgiving we can have quarterly so we are not as likely to STUFF ourselves on turkey day.

I love this stuffing. Dry, it can be sprinkled over a salad. Cooked with some diced chicken thrown in and chicken gravy to be ladled over the chicken and stuffing, it is a delicious main course. I like mixing with a little bit of cooked rice and stuffed into a sweet pepper half or into a tomato which has been scooped out. I even like it eaten like a snack food, nibbling away at the stuffing dry from the box. Use it in place of bread crumbs in meatloaf and the simple meatloaf becomes a lot better. It lasts a good time in food storage if kept cool and dry but not refrigerated. It is a lovely topping for a vegetable or main course casserole. It is only my opinion but I think this is a lot better than what I used to make BST (Before Stove Top). I keep several twin packs in my food storage and hope that Kraft keeps making it. Easy to make, easy to store, easy to turn into a lovely casserole dish. Love it.

I love this stuffing mix . It's so good when you need to get food on the table fast .Also you can make it in so many recipes to change things up . You can't beat the flavors and it's really good tasting. Everyone should try it at least once. Add your own spin on it so it will be personal to your own taste.
