Dose the job
Doing the job. Hook up was easy. Low SWR'S. I'm satisfied.

Eh, Didn't Do The Trick...
It's not near as good as the previous fire ring coax I replaced. It's installed and the cb's transmitting but the range isn't what I expected let alone the clarity. It should have been a simple replacement. Out with the old wire and in with the new. Same routing, same connections, same C.B. The SWR readings went from 1.2/1.5 to 1.5/2. Very little range and transmit range is minimal. Not sure what happened other than the previous coax was sturdier and better matched to the radio.I'm going to be using this coax once I can peg the problem because I don't have another fire ring coax available. But if it doesn't improve then I'm going to be replacing it at my next opportunity with another, standard, non-firewire coax.

Exact Match
It is slim and works great between hood jam and fender. I ran in between inner fender and outer fender to engine compartment than through large grommet and up to top of dash. Had about 6” remaining for wiggle room.

Works perfect
After reading the truth about coax cable length and not really needing 18ft, I went with 9ft.I mounted this to a steel bumper on the passenger side front of a 3rd gen 4runner. Using a 4ft Firestick Firefly antenna with the Firestik spring, ended up at 1.5 SWR max in the upper 30's to 40, all the way down to 1.1 in the single channel digits. I'm using the Uniden PRO520XL Cb - everything is flawless. The length of 9ft is rather short - just a FYI. From the 4runner front passenger side of bumper up through the passenger fender, through the passenger door jam and in and under the glove box over to the center consol - it barely reaches. The CB is mounted on the passenger side of the center consol next to the floor - not enough cable to make it to the drivers side (which was fine with me - I like it on the passenger side anyway). On a larger rig - not sure 9ft would work when routing the cable up through the fenders and whatnot.

Flat connection to antenna, good length for hood mount.
I'm using this to connect an antenna mounted to the side of my Jeep's hood to a radio under the glove box.I like the FireRing connector, as it lets the coax follow the bracket line under the hood without any exposed loops. The 9' length was a little more than needed to reach from the driver's side fender through the firewall and across under the dashboard to the radio; I've got about 2' extra coax tucked up and zip-tied under the dash. All well-made, but the standard coax connector was just a little larger than could fit easily through the existing firewall wiring port past some wires installed earlier. With some judicious shoving, it finally made it, and the rest was easy.

Very well constructed and includes lots of parts for installation
Well-constructed with plenty of parts for various install scenarios. Ordered months before installed and realized this was the fully-assembled version rather than the partially-assembled version I had intended to purchase (that has an unfinished radio side connector allowing routing the cable through a small hole in the firewall then finishing it with an easy soldering task.)Ended up routing the cable across the bottom of the dash in the driver footwell, intertwined through the seams of the the plastic trim pieces, across the door weatherstripping (with a drop making this the lowest point to avoid water tracing along the cable into the cabin), and up behind the fender to the antenna bracket. Hardly ideal, but I realized my error too close to a trip to Moab and fortunately it was just flexible enough to accommodate my improvised solution.

Works great, but check antenna requirement for length before you buy.
Works fine. Gave me a VSWR of about 1.2:1. It might have been lower if I used the 18' that the antenna instructions recommended, but that info wasn't available until I had the antenna in my hands. I also didn't really want an extra 9' of cabling spooled up under my dash. My Cobra 25 is working fine with it, probably receiving 10-15 miles and transmitting 4-7. The radio came with the truck and without an antenna, but I believe the previous owner used a magnetic mount unit with 18+ feet of cabling that was under the back seat. The way the cable mounts to the antenna is the feature that sold me. Tucks it up under the bottom of the antenna and allows for an easy install over the fender and under the hood.

new style seems to work good.
as an old radio guy i didnt want to like this. but it seems to work really well. gone are the days of the pl259 connector filling with water and rotting from the inside. i ditched the bolt that came with the spring and got me a grade 7 stainless through bolt. keep the instruction paper. it does only go on one way!!!

Good product....questionable shipping.
The product was great....only gave it a 3 for the shipping hassles I had to endure that were NOT Covid related.
