Q: Whats the difference between the male and female edges

Male edges have pegs and are made to attach to a floor with exposed loops. Female edges have loops and are made to attach to a floor with exposed pegs.

Q: So I would need a male and female edge to make a right and left corner?

If you are doing a free standing pad with edges all the way around you would need 1/2 male and 1/2 female edges, then 2 male corners and 2 female corners

Yes, you choose male or female when ordering

Q: How to add edge to trimmed tile type garagetrac diamond? just glue it?

I Would adjust the trimmed edges to the opposite side of the room, I don’t think you can glue the strip to trimmed edge and expect it to hold
