Protalwell Wood Stove Gasket, 7/8" Grey Color Fiberglass Gasket, 72" Length

Easy enough to swap out and getting much better tightness on the door, reducing the draft and getting more BTU from my firewood.

Used on a Pleasant Hearth pellet stove to improve burn. It worked well but I have found I need to replace this every year due to the way it compresses .

Fit my lopi wood stove perfectly, haven't started a fire yet but l have no doubt it will work great.

I struggled with getting correct size, but install was ok once I got it right.

I used the stove gasket on my barrel smoker to reduce the amount of fresh air that was getting into the smoker while cooking, and this gasket was able to reduce the air flow enough to drop the cooking temperature from 375 degrees down to 275!! It was easy to install. I cleaned the surface of the grill with cleaner and wire brush on a drill then I used rubber/nitrile gloves to help apply the silicone adhesive evenly, pushed the gasket into place and held it down with painters tape, and that was it.

This kit worked great for replacing the gasket that had come loose from my fireplace insert door, although I needed to buy more of the rope/gasket. Be sure to measure first. (Easy DIY: Pull off the old gasket, clean the channel with a wire brush and alcohol, pre-fit the new gasket, remove it and apply the glue, press the new gasket back into the channel that has been prepped with glue. Cover with boards or books or other heavy objects while glue cures.) The tutorials I read said to remove the door first, which I did, but next time I will do it with the extremely heavy door in place so the glue will cure with the door closed and the gasket cures where it should live. Perfect new seal!

I have a pellet stove which had half of its' gasket come off. I cleaned out the gasket grove area where the old gasket came out of, and then put the glue down into it. Having the old gasket already near this grove made putting the glue in, a little messy. I used rubber gloves, for this purpose, and they ended up with glue all over them. I trimmed the old gasket material and then put it back into the grove area where it came out of. I was unable to get the tape to stick to the gasket to hold the end pieces of the gasket together, but the glue still held them in place. I gave the glue an hour to vent before I closed the stove door, and fired it up. I gradually increased the heat output over a 6 hour period, and with the highest setting, the flames came right to the area where the repairs were made, and thus treated the glue to a very high temperature. I checked the gasket today, and it was firmly in place. I was eventually able to get the glue on the gloves removed!

Arrived early. The gasket looked to be of good quality. It was pretty easy to install made a good seal on my pellet stove.
