Pure Original Ingredients Soap Flakes (8 oz) Tallow Based, Homemade Laundry Detergent, Granulated Soap

The light flakes remind me of the light flakes in Ivory Snow my mother always used during her lifetime. This is NOT a powder that leaves white residue on clothing if not thoroughly rinsed. These are light, minute flakes which dissolve completely. I use this for my laundry and it comes out clean, very soft, and without any scent. You do not have to use any softener as it does everything! I have very sensitive skin and there has not been any issues with this, including underwear. I have an HE washer top loader and put a small, level scoop in first, let it dissolve in the first couple minutes of filling, pause the washer, add laundry, and then see and feel the results. It would be great for baby and pet use, too, without using any chemicals. If you like a little, safe scent, add a squirt of scented liquid castile soap (Bronners, Dr. Wood's, etc.) in the drum along with this powder and you can have a little, safe scent. I always double rinse but you can decide on that for yourself. You can use this for hand washables and probably for any general cleaning after dissolving in a bucket. It is a superb product in my opinion and lasts for such a very long time as you only need a small scoop. Try it if you are on the fence!

It works well but still doesn't keep me dry! If you could make a pad without tape to put on top ,the tape doesn't let the liquid drain.i use poise without removing tape. But it would work better without tape.

Good for making up a washing detergent without using harsh chemicals

I combine these with laundry soda and borax for the perfect homemade laundry mix. It has been good on fabrics, cleans great, and doesn't have a strong fragrance. Highly recommend.

These soap flakes run just a bit high in price. However I find the price to be worth it as I use to make my own laundry soap. Just use equal parts soap flakes, borax, baking soda, washing soda. All can be purchased in this brand from Amazon. Just takes 1 tablespoon per load. My boys are landscapers so have very dirty clothes and this works great. Especially for sensitive skin. Add essential oils if you want some scent.

I use this soap for bathing my dogs, making homemade detergent and I’ve used it as a base for shampoo. I have a German shepherd/Pyrenees mix and her coat is beautiful after a bath and she no longer has itchy irritated skin. My clothes come out so clean. This soap works wonders And def serves its purpose!

Nice product to use in rock tumbling. Odd, but true. The flakes make it easy to set up a tumble.
