I got this because I had fantastic results with The Dr's Best Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM and Hyaluronic Acid- Opti MSM and Bio cell collagen (see My pic). I was having difficulty and pain with my exercises so much to the point I was considering quitting them all together. Plus my back was going out all the time and everything just hurt ! So three to six months later after taking the above said 5 times a week I was about 85% better. So much so it's rare I miss any exercises and my back hardly goes out anymore.So why this one then ? Well for starters my deal is skin care and supplements. And currently I take 12 grams of collagen and 8 grams of MSM and 1 Gram of HA. That is on top of the Drs Best supplement. So I am fine with my collagen and HA ( and MSM too). This product however, has Type 2 "denatured" collagen in it and we will get to that soon.Lets understand after 20 to 30 we make less collagen and cartilage every year. Eventually we make so much less that when our body wants to repair and replace worn and damaged cartilage (joints) or even skin the well has run dry. So we get wrinkles and pain. If you wanted to make cartilage the 'main' big ingredients are Collagen (type 2), MSM, Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid and Glucosamine. ( BTW type 1 and 3 collagen for making skin)So what about this Type 2 denatured collagen. It is (as type 2) what your joints love and it is denatured meaning made in a way our body can use. If we look at the Lugo, Saiyed, Lane study s12937-016-0130-8 we see some amazing results. The used 40mgs ( just like what's in this Dr's Best) and compared it to 1.5 grams of Glucosamine and 1.2 grams of MSM on 234 subjects. The Type 2 denatured collagen group had much much better results with pain and inflammation (especially the knee) compared to the group that was only taking Glucosamine and MSM. The results started quickly and were getting better each day all the way to the end of the study (6 months). I wish they had used a group that took all three and compared but they did not and I am pressed to believe that all three ( which is in this Dr's Best) would have even better results !So yeahh it's easy to see why I am going to replace my old supplement with this one. I was about 85% and I totally expect based on that study to improve more.I use several of Dr's Best supplements ! I have used them for years. They have the best prices and they are consistent and high quality. You can depend on this company with no worry about fakes etc. If you suffer from serious joint pain I encourage you to research and add some more collagen and more MSM and HA to your regimen for best results. I highly recommend this and hope this was helpful !

I have been taking Glucosamine & Chondroitin for a year. I take it every single day and I have really noticed an improvement in the pain I was having in my right kneecap. The pain was along the side and was sensitive to touch, yet it felt like it was in the knee joint. It took about 6 months to really feel the benefits - which I heard is a normal thing with Glucosamine/Chondroitin. The pain has improved significantly taking this supplement, even to the point I have almost zero pain!This product not only contains Glucosamine & Chondroitin, but also UCII which is type two collagen. This has a small amount (40 mg) which is the amount believed to work by inducing a process know as oral tolerance that ultimately triggers the immune system in the repair of its own joint cartilage.In simple terms… UCII helps the body to produce chemicals that fight pain and swelling naturally on it’s own.This product also includes MSM, Potasium, Sodium, and Chloride which helps significantly as well and is a good balance with the other 3 main ingredients.The dose of Glucosamine/Chondroitin is pretty low and considered a “maintenance dose” (320mg/300mg), so for me it’s perfect because I have been taking high doses (1500mg/1200mg) for over a year. If you are just starting out with Glucosamine/Chondroitin, you might want to get the higher dosage (I have been taking Bluebonnet and Now brand for the high dosage), then switch to this product after about 3-6 months for a “maintenance dose”.These capsules are approximately one-half the size for the Bluebonnet and Now Brand, so they are so much easier to swallow. They all require 3 capsules for the dosage, so in that regard these are so much easier to swallow and much more pleasant. You can see how much smaller this brand is in the photos I have posted along with my review.I have tried a lot of different products from Doctor’s Best and I am very happy with this company. This product is made in the USA which is very important to me.I am really happy I ordered this and I am looking forward to the added benefit of UCII for my knee pain.

I have been taking glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM supplements for joint health. This one by Doctor's Best seems like a good one. It not only contains glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM but also UC-II Type II collagen. It comes in the form of vegan capsules that are a little smaller and easy to take. Just 3 capsules daily with food are all you need.This comes in an opaque white bottle with a flip-top lid, cellophane-wrapped for protection. This is a 90-count or 30-day supply. At $1.20 per serving, it is a pretty decent value for the money. The GCM plus UC-II are well-known ingredients for joint health. Only time will tell how good this is. Anyway, I like the capsules are smaller and easier to swallow. So far so good.
