I gave this 4 starts because I only received 3 hair bands instead of 4. However these are great, very thick, very sturdy, great for thick hair. They contain their elasticity and shape. I highly recommend these for all hair types.

These bands are thick and great for a full head of hair. They hold your hair in place without pulling you hair. They’re very comfortable and it doesn’t even feel like you have a band wrapped around your hair. I highly recommend.

I thought these were comparable to burly bands, but not even close. They are thick, but you have to wrap them around like 8 times even with my thick hair vs. 3 with burly bands for a firm hold.

Breaks my hair off.

I have 3A/B curly hair. It is thick and colored. This makes for brittle curls...yeah, I know but I love my highlights *sigh*These hair ties are great: they are longer right off the bat than standard hair ties and have a lot of stretch to them.These are made from a thick stretchy fabric that has a curl to it when it is stretched, that is what gives it the rounded shape.You can flatten them out a bit but they will inevitably curl back in on themselves.I like to keep my hair in a ponytail while I am cooking, working out, etcEasy to wash out, to get rid of hairspray, oils, etc.For the price, over $2 each, these are a bit of an investment, but they won't break, shrink, fall out, etc. It would be great if there were more colors offered.

I have searched for years for a hair tie that's strong enough, and big enough to wrap around my thick, long, heavy hair. I was wearing 4 or 5 of the Goody brand hair ties at a time, and it was causing major headaches. Not to mention they break after only a couple of days. I was so tired of spending $20 a month on hair ties. I have been wearing these for 3 days now in workouts, at the beach fishing the surf, and painting a house. These have stayed put, and they have not caused a headache, and best of all they haven't broken. I am SOOOOOOOO happy with my purchase! FINALLY a reliable hair tie for those of us with thick and heavy hair!
