Break Out!: 5 Keys to Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life

I love Joel Osteen and listen to his sermons on Sirius XM regularly. I bought this book to be an extension to listening, but I have found that this book is made up of his broadcasted sermons! Some of the wording has changed but it’s the same concepts and, in many cases, the same examples he used while preaching the topics. I’m disappointed but I will read the book, highlighter in hand. If nothing else, it’s a quick, easy read and a refresher. Maybe this book is better suited for those new to Joel Osteen or perhaps those who do not listen to him on a daily basis.

It's simple to understand why the Osteen church always has 16,000 chairs full for each service. He promises over and over again that great things are just around the corner if we will maintain powerful faith. This book has a message similar to his Sunday sermons, and it is repeated almost to the point of boredom in every single chapter. But doggoneit, it becomes believable if we read it on a day when depression seems to be haunting after us. I tried putting that level of faith to work to resolve a recent personal issue. My gosh -- it actually worked, and I'm going to keep employing the means suggested by Osteen whenever I need the answer to another problem. To summarize: This book stops being boring and repetitive when we find ourselves in a situation where we need the intevention of a dependable God to bring us up out of an ugly event. When that happens, the book becomes a source we will want to return to over and over again. I'm glad to have it on my Kindle. It will be somewhat comforting in the future to note that the "boring" message will always be there and Osteen will make it believable.

I bought both the Kindle and Audible versions of this book and I enjoyed them thoroughly. Joel spoke to my heart, and even touched on certain situations that I had (coincidentally) been going through at the time. It really helped to motivate and inspire me, and to apply Bible passages and illustration of events relevant to coping with every day life. Joel’s messages resonate with me regardless of the platforms on which they are communicated. For this book/audiobook, it was no different. I highly recommend it.

I have read Joel Osteen's other books and since most of his messages were similar I naturally thought this book would same as well. To some of you this book sounds just like his other books. Same uplifting, positive, never give up speech and I thought I was past such phases. But for whatever reason I started to read this book, thinking to myself, his messages are pretty much same this book should be no different.I am surprised of myself of enjoying this book and how much encouragement Joel gave me with his same messages. They do sound the same but it helps. I needed to hear these messages again, especially this time in my life. All the promises I have forgotten about, God has rekindled them in me through Joel's cliche messages. I thank God for leading Joel to write this book and I thank God for leading me to read this book.This book will not be forgotten. It will be read by many people who God intended for them to hear.

Pastor Joel books have been a life line. This book opens your mind to the endless possibilities and growth that is available to every child of God if they trust and believe God. It encourages our growth in faith. It doesn’t condemn but instead it uplifts and makes one yearn for that greater that is in God. Highly recommended!

If you ever wanted a friendly brother to build you up and help you become a better person Joel is that one. I come from a a large family, 5 brother's and 8 sister's. I l love them all so much. I relate to others so easily on this level. Joel is the brother that sees the weakness, hurts and pains you have and tells you what he believes so strongly that has helped him be the highly successful person he is today, "God is bigger than any problem!" He gives credit where it's deserved, his parents both dad and mom are giants when it comes to faith. His mom refusing to give up on getting her car started early in the morning, becoming angry at the problem trying again when Joel even offered his car for the next day. I have meet very intelligent people who only believe what they can see. Joel's life stories are about believing first, then seeing. Patience, but still moving forward focusing on God, and speaking words bigger than problems.

I have this book on Audible.com and purchased the hard copy for my Mother; yes, it is THAT good.It personally bore witness with me, so for that reason I think it is awesome and continue to listen until I have committed it to memory to stay motivated and encouraged when the storms show signs of forming. It has given me the peace required to stay focused, in the Word, thankful and aware of the many ways Gods grace is in operation in my life. (even to recognize His hand in turning what was meant for evil to good in the midst of it)This writing is personal and may not bear witness to all. I sincerely hope it is for you and that you see the end of your faith as a result of it's encouraging reminders of who He is and who you are and what He has already done in and for you and will do through you.

Joel Osteen is a fantastic writer and preacher. His contemporary way of communicating can relate to even the most non-religious person.His determination to make a better world really does emerge in all of his books.I have written longer reviews for his other books, but all of them have definitely changed my perspective for the better.Thank you Joel. A must for those who are looking to become more mindful and enjoy life to the full even through the tougher times. He gives you a belief in yourself that some people stuggle to find.

This latest book by Joel by joel Osteen,is really good in the way that it helps us to focus on the positive rather than the negative ,so often our circumstances look really big and challenging,this book redresses the balance as we focus on a big God and put into practice the promises of God ,well worth the effort to see Gods plan and purposes come to pass in our lives

Fantastic book like all his others very motivational. I bought all my books used but the condition is almost always as good as new. I would recommend all of Joel’s books

Everything Pastor Osteen preaches is based on the scriptures. In this book he gives the Scrip references for the major statements he makes. What you put into your mind makes a difference to your thinking, and your thinking directs your attitude and your behaviour. This is seriously good stuff.

As always Joel Osteen is a great encourager, his book encourages and strengthens us to walk with a positive mindset and attitude, knowing we are the children of God, loved with an everlasting love and nothing is impossible to Almighty God with Him all things are possible.
