Good product, great customer service. I originally left a 3 star review because I felt they had exaggerated the claim of the battery life...which they did by saying it had a play time of 24 hours at 50% volume. Well, it doesn't and they no longer advertise that. You will get about 4 or 5 hours playing time on just the battery, which is fine! Anyway, they have corrected the issue and sent me a replacement sspeaker. I really like the product and my echo dot is way better now. My expectations have been met. Thanks.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I own a vaux and I was excited to buy this and compare. The manufacturer claims that standby time is 50 hours so I charged it and then unplugged it at night. It was completely dead in the morning. I also did not get 24 hours of playing time, maybe more like 2 hours. Perhaps my product was defective. Also, it does have a speaker "hiss". I am returning this and getting another vaux.

 *UPDATE* September 11, 2017:So the people at Mokcao reached out to me about the "Hissing" issue. They believed it could be was a factory defect & send me a new speaker to test it out.After giving it a shot, it was a defect. There's no more hissing noise. When close you can hear some White Noise coming from the speakers. But the Infinity Vaux does that as well.Comparing both infinyty & Mokcao speakers, this one is a little bit louder. I found both brands have a good speakers, but the Echo tower sounds better.The Mokcao speaker does beat Echo tower in mobility. And it beats the Infinity Vaux in that the Mokcao speaker is also a battery pack.I made a new video so you can see. Overall I'm happy with the Mokcao Speaker for the Amazon Echo Dot.No need to buy an Echo for every room, I can move this 1 around the house.------------------------------------------------------------------August 30, 2017 review:I really wanted to love this speaker. It makes my Echo Dot sound a lot better & much louder, I can move it around house & let's meet charge my phone if I need to.Problem is if you have this close to you. I have it on my nightstand & there's a hissing feedback sound even when it's on standby, with or without the Echo Dot in it.Good concept that might work for some; Unfortunately not for me.

I came to love this speaker and it worked well for around 5 weeks. Then it stopped powering the Amazon Dot which would start to boot, then a loud POP and it would die.So here I was outside Amazon Return window......Well let me tell you,I reached out to Customer Support. They were awesome. No hassle, no back and forth. I sent them an email describing the issue and almost immediately I get a reply offering apologies and commitment to send a replacement immediately.So 2 days later I get a replacement via Amazon. No questions, RMA hassles, insistence on return or I'd be charged.I am still in awe of how well they handle and stand behind this gem of a product.Lets face it, things break and sometimes this happens when somethings new. Its a measure of a company that truly stands behind their product that wins my loyalty. Admitting the issue, not forcing the customer to jump thru hoops but taking care of us.I'll buy from then again and tell everyone of my experience.

 This speaker is amazing!!! I bought this speaker for my daughter and she loves it.Her speaker broke and this is the perfect substitute for it.It's a very good size not too small and not too big but just right! It fits perfectly on a desktop and doesn't take up a lot of room.

UPDATE: Upgraded it from 2 stars to 3. It's probably closer to 3 1/2. Seller sent me another speaker at no charge to try out. On the plus side this one seems to play in stereo and not mono like the first one, so there must have been something wrong with the original. With that said, it still sounds pretty much the same, thin sound and no bass. As before, I'd say if you're just looking for better sound out of your Dot then this will do the trick, but prepare to be underwhelmed. The 1 star increase is for the sellers customer service and the very slightly better sound.Original Review: Better sound than a Dot alone. With that said, there is almost no bass. The sound is very thin. I have a 1G and 2G Echo also, and those sound good but not great. This speaker doesn't come close to the sound of those. Another thing I just discovered is that it's a mono speaker, not stereo as claimed. I listen to the band Slayer, and they have 2 lead guitarists. Each of them are recorded on their own channel, left and right. Long story short, when I listen to Slayer it sounds like one of the guitarists didn't show up for the show. He's completely missing. Also, and this could just be my paranoia, but I'm not a fan of leaving anything with a lithium battery plugged in all the time, especially cheap Chinese electronics. I'm using this as a desk speaker. If I hadn't already tossed the box I would probably return it.

I purchased this speaker to provide a better sound for my Amazon dot. The dot is designed to remain active 24/7. This unit shuts itself (and the dot) off after about 3 or 4 days. No access to the Amazon dot until I re-power on the unit. I contacted support, and this was their response… “Yes, it is normally. The system has powered off every 3 or 4 days. it just protect the speaker. You only press power on button.”I call Bulls%$t.I own a VAUX and it (and the Amazon dot) has remained powered on for over 2 months with no issues.

It worked great when I first got it. Added good sound to the Echo Dot, but there were things that bugged me from the outset.

So my initial rating would have been a 5 Star. Speaker is nice size and has a nice volume/sound. But 5-6 months in I started having issues with it keeping on.

Bought this December 6, 2017. Today is August 5, 2018, and it stopped working.

Nice sounding speaker. I had issues with it, customer support was great, and replaced defective speaker immediately.

The speaker itself is very decent when it comes to sound. Actually it is louder than my original echo. I was quite happy with it until it had an issue a week ago.

This is a great speaker! Quality of sound is amazing, and I love the fact that it can charge your phone or other devices as well!

This speaker worked for the first 4 months but never actually held a charge like the description claimed.

I enjoyed the speaker for 7 months and then it just stopped working. Very frustrating!

Update:I contacted customer service and they quickly wrote me back. Sent me a replacement unit and I had it in 2 days.

Bought as a gift for my elderly parents and it has stopped working seven months after purchasing. It was never moved and remained plugged in, but just stopped working altogether.
