Measure the size of the new vent cover: Using a measuring tape, measure the size of the new vent cover you want to install. This will help you determine the size of the opening you need to cut in the PVC tile. Mark the cutting area: Using a pencil or a marker, mark the area on the PVC tile where you need to make the cut. Make sure to double-check the measurements before cutting to avoid any mistakes. Cut the opening: Using a jigsaw or a hole saw, carefully cut out the marked area on the PVC tile. You need drywall to install it.

We installed this product last year as a drop in ceiling tile. I would NOT use in a kitchen as a backsplash. I believe it would melt and would be extremely difficult to clean.
