BaroCook Complete Flameless Thermal Cooking & Cooling Bundle

I bought this for emergencies, particularly loss of power during a hurricane and it's aftermath. I tried it out with boiling water and it worked, but does take a bit of time. I also bought the bags you put the food packet and the heater in together so no cleaning pans. I bought the smaller pan as well. I have purchased freeze dried meals to go along with it. But would use refrigerator items first. I have had MRE meals with heaters in the past. I think this will give more flexibility in cooking or reheatiing foods. The heat pouch heats up immediately when it touches the water. The tool to pick up the pot is very important so you don't burn your self. Not sure that an emergency is the time for the cool pack but it will be used.

The BaroCook is an intriguing and unique device. I have used it only once so far, to test it out, and it warmed up (piping hot, I might add) a large can of a complete meal which two of us then consumed. I will soon do a dehydrated meal bag just for practice.Cleanup was a cinch and it is now ready to go for the next time. I already owned a nice, slightly oversized insulated “lunch bag” which fits the BaroCook unit perfectly, several extra heat packs, the included ice pak and I added 2 sporks, several napkins and small salt and pepper shakers and now I am ready to go anytime by just grabbing a waterbottle and the food I want to eat.This should be great for road trip meals or for a nice meal in a hotel room without fire or flames or electricity.

It's better at reheating than cooking.

I will soon be purchasing a second unit for my daughter. Work better than I expected. Great for football games and any outdoor activities. Fast shipping too
